Free Fire City Open Tournament: Registration, Format, Prize Pool & Other Details

After the recent conclusion of the Free Fire India Championship, Garena has come up with another official tournament of Free Fire in May 2021 to be played from the comfort of your couch. The FF’s May 2021 tournament is named “Free Fire City Open” (FFCO).

As the name itself suggest, it is a city-based tournament and only for India. A total of 8 cities from different states are recognized all over India, which are:

  • Delhi (New Delhi)
  • Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh)
  • Kolkata (West Bengal)
  • Ahmedabad (Gujarat)
  • Mumbai (Maharashtra)
  • Hyderabad (Telangana)
  • Vizag (Andhra Pradesh)
  • Chennai. (Tamilnadu)

Players from the states in which these cities fall would be considered from that city. Such as all players from West Bengal will fall under Kolkata, all players from Maharashtra would fall under Mumbai, and so on.

It does not mean that players from the rest of India cannot participate in the tournament. Everyone from India meeting the minimum requirement can participate in the tournament. Registered players from the rest of India will become part of the Wildcraft Finals. The top 12 teams from the rest of India will be selected for the Wildcraft Finals. From here, the top 2 teams will qualify for the National Finals.
