Spring has officially arrived in Adopt Me, and it brought a mountain of candy with it. Sugarfest is a four-week festival celebrating Spring and Easter playadopt, and it is easily one of the most event-packed seasonal updates the game has seen in recent memory. From a board game you physically walk around on, to chocolate rivers full of snapping crocodiles, a lot is going on. This guide breaks down every corner of the event so you know exactly where to spend your time and your Candy Eggs.
What Is Sugarfest?

Sugarfest is Adopt Me’s Spring 2026 seasonal event, launched on March 13, 2026. The update introduces a candy-themed world hosted by the returning NPC Mayor Amanda, who invites players to explore three main activities: the Game of Sweets board game, the Cocoa Float river run, and the Candy Cliffs excavation. Each activity feeds into the others in some way, mostly through the Candy Eggs currency that runs the entire event economy.
Mayor Amanda sets the tone well: players are invited to float down the Cocoa River, get to the gummy centre of Candy Cliffs, and go round and round the Game of Sweets.
The Game of Sweets: How the Board Game Works
The centrepiece of Sugarfest is the Game of Sweets, a literal board game that players move through using Sugar Dice. Rolling Sugar Dice moves your avatar and lands it on one of the spaces to earn items. Landing on spaces can reward the player with Candy Eggs, Sugar and Custom Caramel Dice, Bucks, or a Candy Chisel and other items needed to rescue pets.
The key mechanic to understand here is the loop system. Completing a full board game loop earns a Gumball, and five Gumballs come together to make a Gumball Caterpillar. This means earning the Caterpillar pet requires consistent daily play across multiple sessions, since dice are limited.
On the subject of dice availability: extra dice can be earned through completing daily Taskboard tasks. The Taskboard offers two main milestones worth noting. Completing 10 pet needs earns two additional dice, while completing 30 pet needs rewards a free Custom Caramel Dice, which gives your rolling die a new visual skin. Players who log in daily and complete their pet chores will have a meaningful advantage in stacking Gumballs over the four weeks.
The Cocoa Float: Navigating the Crocodile River
The second major activity is the Cocoa Float, a river run down a chocolate waterway. Players float down the Cocoa River to earn Candy Eggs, but need to avoid bumping into any Cocoadiles, who have sharp teeth.
In practice, the Cocoa Float functions similarly to the skating or gingerbread mini-games from past events. You steer your character down the river while avoiding the roaming Cocoadile NPCs. If one of them collides with you, they will take some of your collected Candy Eggs before you reach the end. The trick is to stay patient and take the safer, slower path rather than rushing through and losing your haul to a crocodile. The payout at the end of a clean run is substantial enough to make it worth repeating regularly.
One additional detail: players can adopt their own Cocoadile by the Cocoa Campfire at Night. The Cocoadile appears as a purchasable pet at night, so timing your visits to the campfire area matters if you want to pick one up.
Candy Cliffs: Digging for the Gummy Guana
The third activity, Candy Cliffs, is where the Gummy Guana pet is hiding. Players use 7 Candy Chisels to chip away layers of rock candy and get to the soft Gummy Guana inside. Along the way, they earn Bucks, bonus Dice, Honey Candy, and Tiny Age-Up Potions.
Candy Chisels are not free. Each Candy Chisel costs 6,500 Candy Eggs, which means unlocking the Gummy Guana through Candy Cliffs requires a significant investment of 45,500 Candy Eggs in total. Players who focus on the Cocoa Float and efficient board game play will build up their egg count faster. It is also worth noting that Candy Chisels can occasionally land as rewards on the Game of Sweets board, which offers a way to offset the cost slightly over time.
All New Pets in Sugarfest 2026

Sugarfest introduces four new pets, each obtained through a different method. Here is a full breakdown according to the official Adopt Me patch notes:
- Candicorn (Legendary): Costs 1,000 Robux from the in-game shop. This is the premium pet of the event, and the only one requiring real-world currency.
- Gumball Caterpillar (Ultra Rare): Earned by collecting 5 Gumballs through the Game of Sweets board game. This is the most grind-friendly way to earn a new pet without spending Robux.
- Cocoadile (Uncommon): Available for 14,000 Candy Eggs at the Cocoa Campfire at night.
- Gummy Guana (Rare): Unlocked by using 7 Candy Chisels at Candy Cliffs.
For players who want to earn pets without spending Robux, the Gumball Caterpillar is the most accessible target. The Cocoadile requires the most Candy Eggs of any single purchase, so it rewards players who prioritise the river mini-game early in the event window.
New Toys and Pet Wear
Sugarfest also adds a full range of pet accessories, all purchasable with Candy Eggs. The full list from the official patch notes is as follows:
- Gumball Paws (Common): 950 Candy Eggs
- Twisty Marshmallow (Common): 500 Candy Eggs
- Gummy Goggles (Uncommon): 2,250 Candy Eggs
- Cocoadile Cape (Rare): 4,500 Candy Eggs
- Candy Cliffs Hat (Rare): 5,000 Candy Eggs
- Cocoadile Hat (Ultra Rare): 7,500 Candy Eggs
- Sour Glider (Ultra Rare): 60,000 Candy Eggs
- Candihorn Instrument (Ultra Rare): 9,000 Candy Eggs
The Sour Glider sits at a steep 60,000 Candy Eggs, making it the most expensive cosmetic in the event by a wide margin. Casual players will want to prioritise pets and furniture before targeting the higher-end accessories.
New Furniture and Decorations
For players who enjoy decorating their in-game homes, Sugarfest brings a candy-themed furniture set purchasable in Bucks rather than Candy Eggs, making these relatively accessible. All furniture items will also be available in the Edit House Menu after the event ends.
The full furniture list includes:
- Game of Sweets Rug: 28 Bucks
- Chocolate Syrup Fridge: 110 Bucks
- Candyfloss Couch: 175 Bucks
- Bubblegum Light: 325 Bucks
- Gumball Machine: 550 Bucks
- Bubblegum Wallpaper: 65 Bucks
The Game of Sweets Rug at 28 Bucks is a near-instant buy for anyone who wants a Sugarfest-themed room without committing much currency.
The Sugarfest Backpack Tab
A new temporary Sugarfest tab has been added to the Backpack to make finding Candy Chisels, Dice, Gumballs, and other pet items easier. All items in the Sugarfest tab will turn into Candy Eggs once the event ends, and players will have a final one-week window after the event to spend those Candy Eggs at the Wagon.
This is an important detail for players who accumulate many items near the end of the event. Do not let the clock run out without converting your leftover event items into something useful, since everything in that tab eventually becomes Candy Eggs that can be spent in the post-event window.
Coloring Competition
Adopt Me is running a colouring competition for Sugarfest. Players can share their finished colouring pages in the official Discord server for a chance to win a Candicorn and FR potions. Winners will be chosen on Thursday, March 19th, and you must be Level 5 in the server to submit. Colouring pages for the Gummy Guana, Candicorn, Cocoadile, and Gumball Caterpillar are all available to download from the official site.
Tips for Getting the Most Out of Sugarfest
Sugarfest is a four-week event, which gives plenty of time to work toward multiple rewards, but only if you are consistent. A few things worth keeping in mind:
- Log in daily to claim your free Sugar Dice and complete Taskboard tasks for extra rolls.
- Complete 10 pet needs each day to earn two additional dice, making the Gumball Caterpillar much faster to unlock.
- Prioritise the Cocoa Float for Candy Egg farming, but watch out for Cocoadiles taking your haul near the end of a run.
- If the Gummy Guana is your target, start saving Candy Eggs for Chisels early. At 6,500 each, you need seven of them.
- All leftover Sugarfest items convert to Candy Eggs at the end of the event, so nothing is wasted as long as you spend those eggs before the post-event window closes.
