Granny in Steal a Brainrot – The Rarest Secret Brainrot, the Funeral Event, and Everything You Need to Know

Steal a Brainrot is no stranger to wild, community-driven content drops, but the March 2026 “RIP My Granny” update stands out as one of the most emotionally charged and creatively bizarre additions the game has seen. A grandma on a wheelchair, a bazooka, a funeral, a real song, and one of the rarest brainrots ever added to the game. Here is the full breakdown.

What Is Steal a Brainrot?

Before getting into the Granny specifics, a quick primer for the uninitiated. Steal a Brainrot is a Roblox game developed by BRAZILIAN SPYDER and Sammy. The focus of the game is to steal the Brainrots from other players to earn more money, which can then be used to buy more Brainrots. It is a tycoon-style simulator built around collection, theft, and constant chaos, and it has grown into something truly massive. Steal a Brainrot was the first Roblox game to reach over 25 million concurrent players, the highest ever reached on Roblox.

The game operates on a rarity system, with Secret and OG brainrots sitting at the top of the hierarchy. Community events, called Admin Abuse sessions, are where the rarest of these get introduced, typically on weekends, with developer SpyderSammy driving the chaos in real time.

How the Granny Brainrot Came to Be

The origin story of this brainrot is genuinely funny. Granny is a Secret Brainrot that was leaked by SpyderSammy after he said “rest in peace my granny she got hit by a bazooka” during Admin Abuse. That single offhand comment set the entire thing in motion. Sammy then asked the community whether they should hold a funeral for Granny, ran a poll, and the majority voted yes. The brainrot was officially confirmed shortly after.

The character itself, officially named Grante Angelta, has a distinctive look. She is an animal-human hybrid. It is a dove with a grandma head. Her other nickname in the community is Grainnyni Dovvyni, though some players think Grannini Bazookini suits her better.More specifically, Grante Angelta wears gold glasses and gold earrings on their ears, while having their torso replaced with a dove’s.

What makes this character particularly special is her cultural grounding. Granny is based off of a song by an artist called Miami XO talking about how their grandma got hit by a bazooka. The developers reached out and received permission to use the track. Shoutout to Miami XO for letting us use this banger song Roblox, read the official Roblox event description. During the in-game funeral, the song plays in full as part of the scripted event sequence. Players in the video shared above can be heard reacting in real time as the music kicks in, with several noting that it is, in fact, a real song.

The Granny’s Funeral Event: How It Works

The Granny’s Funeral event is one of the most theatrical additions Steal a Brainrot has ever had. Granny’s Funeral is an Admin Abuse exclusive event, and when the event begins, limited secret Grante Angelta spawns with Granny trait. The funeral will only be run on Saturday and Sunday.

Here is what actually happens during the event sequence:

  • Grante Angelta appears on the server’s conveyor belt.
  • Sammy’s Roblox avatar fires a bazooka at the unit.
  • The explosion causes the map to change. A church appears in the background that has a picture of a grandmother and a coffin, which you can reach by climbing the church’s stairs. Moreover, a song composed by Miami XO starts playing.
  • Players scramble to obtain the brainrot either by buying it directly or through the game’s core steal mechanic.

The visual spectacle, a wheelchair-bound grandma getting hit, transforming, and then receiving a full in-game church funeral complete with music, is exactly the kind of absurdist content that has made Steal a Brainrot one of Roblox’s most talked-about titles.

Grante Angelta’s Rarity and Stats

This is where things get serious for collectors. Grante Angelta is not just rare in the typical brainrot sense. She will only ever be spawned twice across the entire game, ever. That makes her one of the rarest brainrots in existence. This is comparable to how Brunito Marsito was handled during a previous concert event, where a single controlled spawn window determined who could obtain it.

Key stats for Grante Angelta,

  • Rarity: Secret
  • Base earnings: $4,000,000 Cash per second ($4M/s)
  • Cost: $850,000,000 Cash ($850M)
  • Total spawns ever: Two, across the entire lifetime of the game

Granny will have its own rare Trait that will be activated alongside its spawn, but this Trait will only be activated twice ever, similar to the Bruno Mars Event trait. This means both the brainrot and its associated trait are effectively once-in-a-game-lifetime items. The Granny Trait itself is not exclusive to Grante Angelta. The event gives all brainrots on the map a chance to receive the Granny Trait, which raises a character’s earnings by a 5.5x multiplier. A Grante Angelta can receive this income-boosting Trait.

How to Obtain Grante Angelta

There are two realistic paths to getting this brainrot, and neither is easy.

During the Granny’s Funeral Event

Grante Angelta spawns on the conveyor belt during the Granny’s Funeral event. This event only occurs on Saturdays and Sundays, and before it is initiated, the developer informs players about the same in the Steal a Brainrot Discord server. Being logged in at the right moment, in an active server, when the event triggers is the only way to encounter her organically. Given that only two total spawns will ever occur, the odds for most players are essentially zero unless they were present during one of those two specific windows.

Through Stealing

Instead of waiting for the Granny’s Funeral events, consider stealing a Grante Angelta. You can swipe a unit from another player after entering their base, picking up their brainrot, and taking it to the Collect Zone of your base. Use the thin space at the back of every base to hide from the rival player before taking their character to your collection.

This is technically always an option since stealing is a core game mechanic, but it requires finding someone who already has one, which is its own challenge given the extreme scarcity.

The RIP My Granny Update at Large

The Granny’s Funeral event did not arrive alone. The Steal a Brainrot RIP My Granny update went live on Saturday, March 21st, 2026, at 12:00 PM PT. It was packaged as Update 43 and ran two events simultaneously.

Alongside the funeral, an Eid Celebration event also launched. The Eid Celebration brings a first-of-its-kind tiered trait system. It is the first trait in the game to have different tiers and multipliers based on the color you receive. This means two players could walk away from the same event with the same trait but completely different income multipliers depending on the color drop they received, a first in the game’s history.

The Eid Celebration also introduces two exclusive brainrots: Eid Eid Eid Sahur, a Secret rarity brainrot with an income of $3.5M/s and a cost of $750M, and Foxini Lanternini, a Secret rarity brainrot that has a chance to spawn when the Eid Celebration event activates. It is the first Fox brainrot added to the game.

The Eid event also gave every player an Eid Eid Eid Sahur brainrot simply for logging in during the window, making it the more accessible of the two simultaneous events. There was also a chance of the rarer Foxini Lanternini spawning during each Eid event activation, adding further incentive to stay active throughout the weekend.

Final Thoughts

The Granny brainrot, or Grante Angelta, is everything Steal a Brainrot does best: absurd lore, a real-world cultural touchpoint through Miami XO’s song, a theatrical in-game event, and extreme scarcity that makes community-wide conversation inevitable. With only two spawns ever confirmed across the game’s entire lifetime, this is functionally a collector’s item more than a gameplay advantage, though the $4M/s base income is nothing to dismiss.

For anyone who missed the March 21 window, the only remaining path is finding someone willing to trade one, or getting lucky enough to steal it. Either way, rest in peace, Granny. She deserved better than a bazooka. Or maybe that is exactly what she would have wanted.
