Orchid Mantis Grow a Garden Roblox: How to Get It and Build the Best Rainbow Farm (Easter 2026)

The Easter Event 2026 Part 2 brought one pet that immediately stood out from everything else in the update. The Orchid Mantis is a Divine-rarity event pet in Grow a Garden, introduced in Easter 2026 Part 2 on April 11, 2026. Its ability to passively chain crops all the way up to Rainbow without any player input has made it one of the most sought-after pets the game has released in a long time. This guide covers what it does, how to get it, and how to use it effectively.

What Is the Orchid Mantis?

The Orchid Mantis is a limited divine pet that was added to the second part of the Easter Event 2026. The Orchid Mantis model closely resembles that of the Praying Mantis, the biggest differences between the two being that the Orchid Mantis is pink and white, and its legs have a flatter shape. Its eyes are also pink and have darker pink horizontal slits in the middle.

Its hunger requirement is 55,000. Despite looking similar to the Praying Mantis, the Orchid Mantis functions very differently in practice, and sits above it in terms of rarity and farming potential.

Orchid Zone: How the Ability Works

The Orchid Mantis has a single ability called Orchid Zone. Here is exactly what it does:

  • When it activates, the pet prays for a set duration. During that time, fruits within range have a chance to gain the Floral mutation each second.
  • Fruits with the Floral mutation turn Gold, and Gold fruits with the Floral mutation eventually convert to Rainbow.
  • Every 12.5 minutes, it freezes and gives fruits within a radius a 3% chance per second to gain the Floral mutation.

This makes the Orchid Mantis one of the strongest passive mutation sources in the game, capable of chaining crops all the way up to Rainbow without any direct input from the player. Gold carries a 20x value multiplier, and Rainbow carries a 50x multiplier, which means the earnings from even a mid-sized garden can scale dramatically once the chain starts working.

How to Get the Orchid Mantis

You can obtain the Orchid Mantis pet from the Evil Bunny NPC with a 0.5% drop rate. To participate, Evil Bunny will ask you to sacrifice one of the plants in your garden by destroying it with a shovel. Note that rarer plants and variants yield better rewards than others, and there is a 10-minute cooldown between each submission.

The Evil Bunny is an NPC added to the second part of the Easter Event 2026. The Evil Bunny appears as a large bunny with black mouth and nose, from its mouth are coming two fangs. On the head are also tilted red glowing eyes. It is fully white, only the belly is pastel pink, and the inside of the ears is deep pink.

Here is the full drop table for the Evil Bunny rewards, along with their drop chances:

  • The most common outcome is 100 Choc Coins at 34.75%, while the Easter Sprout Seed is the rarest reward at 0.25%. The Orchid Mantis sits just above it at 0.50%.
  • Stork has a 5.00% drop rate, and Golden Egg (3x) has a 2.50% drop rate.

Given the low odds, you will likely need many attempts before the Orchid Mantis drops. The 10-minute cooldown makes this a slow grind, so planning your sacrifice strategy carefully matters.

Tips for Farming the Evil Bunny Efficiently

  • From testing, Rare-tier plants seem to be enough to hit the useful reward ceiling. That means you do not need to destroy Legendary, Mythical, Divine, or higher-tier plants for better outcomes.
  • Don’t fill a slot with only the rarest plants when specifically hunting Easter Sprout Seeds or Orchid Mantis. This maximizes reward quality but risks losing extremely valuable crops. Only recommended if you can afford the losses and desperately need the rarest drops.
  • Filling a garden with Easter-exclusive plants is another approach. These plants cannot be used in your main garden anyway, making them logical candidates for sacrifice. The rarity still counts toward reward calculations while minimizing opportunity cost.

You can also purchase an Orchid Mantis directly from the Farmers Market if another player has one listed. This is a faster alternative if you have enough tokens and do not want to grind the Evil Bunny repeatedly.

Best Method: Orchid Mantis with Mimic Octopus

The single most effective setup right now does not require a large army of Orchid Mantises. Mimic Octopus can copy pet abilities, which means one Orchid Mantis can effectively behave like several if your lineup is built correctly.

The recommended setup is one Orchid Mantis paired with seven 15-second Mimic Octopuses. The Mimic copies the Orchid Zone ability every 15 seconds, meaning Floral mutations are being applied across the garden far more frequently than a single mantis could manage alone.

The key lesson is this: crop quality matters more than pet hype. If you use this setup on weak crops, the payoff is underwhelming. If you use it on premium crops, the numbers get silly very fast.

High-value crops like Candy Blossom are ideal targets for this setup. Paired with high-value crops like Candy Blossom, the Orchid Mantis is widely considered the strongest sustained-farming pet released in Easter 2026.

The YouTuber in the first video above also tested this setup on Giant Jungle Cherries and found a fully Rainbow-mutated fruit selling for 159 billion Sheckles in a single harvest. That figure will vary based on crop size and mutations, but it gives a clear picture of the ceiling this setup can reach.

Is the Orchid Mantis Worth Getting?

The Orchid Mantis is not just a rare pet. It is a profitable tool. The ability to passively generate Rainbow crops while away from the keyboard makes it one of the few pets in the game that genuinely changes how you approach overnight farming.

Part 2 priority order: acquire the Orchid Mantis first for passive Floral/Gold/Rainbow generation, then pair it with high-value Easter crops.

If you are still working toward your first one, keep running the Evil Bunny quest on a consistent rotation, sacrifice Rare-tier crops to keep the cost manageable, and check the Farmers Market periodically for player listings. Once you have it, one Orchid Mantis combined with a row of Mimic Octopuses is all you need to start turning your entire garden Rainbow.
