How to Get the SOULREAPER Rod in Roblox Fisch (Venue Takeover Guide)

The Venue Takeover update hit Roblox Fisch on May 2, 2026, and it brought with it one of the most talked-about rods in the game’s history. The update introduced several new NPCs inside the Underground Music Venue along with limited-time questlines. Among all the new additions, the SOULREAPER Rod has captured the most attention, partly because of how visually striking it is and partly because of just how much work it takes to earn it. If you are planning to go after this rod, we have laid out everything you need to know, step by step.

What Is the SOULREAPER Rod?

The SOULREAPER is a fishing rod obtained from a set of quests at the Underground Music Venue, with the in-game description reading “Vampires will never hurt you.” It is tied to the Reaper NPC and stands out as one of the more thematic rods added to the game. The rod comes with a paranormal passive that functions similarly to a gravity mechanic, pulling fish into a floating state before the catch registers.

What makes the SOULREAPER genuinely unique is that it does not feel like a standard fishing rod at all. It rewards players who enjoy the aesthetic side of Fisch just as much as the mechanical side. That said, be aware that the grind for this rod is one of the longest in the current update.

Important – This Is a Limited-Time Rod

Before anything else, I want to emphasize this clearly. The new rods from the Venue Takeover are likely available for a limited time only. The SOULREAPER is a developer-tier rod tied to the Venue Takeover update, handed out by the Reaper NPC inside the Underground Music Venue. Do not put this quest off. Once the event window closes, the rod will likely be gone for the foreseeable future.

Starting the Quest – Find the Reaper NPC

Your first move is to head to the Underground Music Venue and locate an NPC named Reaper. Talk to him to begin the questline. The fastest route is to line up the right rods, totems, and baits before starting, so each step finishes in a single fishing session. We strongly recommend doing your prep work before accepting the quest rather than scrambling for the right gear mid-grind.

The Five Items You Need to Collect

The Reaper will send you after five specific mutated fish or items, and each one requires a dedicated rod and the right conditions. Here is a breakdown of each:

Item 1: Shiny or Sparkling Darkened Rubber Ducky

Fish in Vertigo until you hook a Rubber Ducky. You do not need to catch it already mutated. Pop a shiny surge, a sparkling appraise, and a darkened mutation surge, then appraise the Ducky to convert it. Hand this to Reaper, and he will give you the first reward, which is a cosmetic OG rod skin.

Item 2: Shiny or Sparkling Spirit Ancient Depth Serpent

Head to the Depths and fish until the weather rolls into Absolute Darkness. A high-disturbance rod, such as the Plague Reaver with Ferocious or Vicious enchantments, speeds up the weather change. Once the Ancient Depth Serpent spawns, swap to the Spiritbinder (or Tranquility), pop a Sparkling totem and Aurora, and reel it in. Handing this one in rewards you with the Soulreaper Handle.

Item 3: Shiny or Sparkling Soul Touch Log

Fish this at the Ancient Island, specifically around the waterfall area. Use the Hades Soul Scythe rod to get the Soul Touch mutation. Once you hand it over, the Reaper gives you the Soul Reaper Handle piece.

Item 4: Shiny or Sparkling Distraught Scrap Metal

This is a low-tier item, which means the approach is actually simpler. Fish it from the Depths using garbage bait and the Dream Breaker rod to trigger the Distraught mutation. After handing it over, you will receive the Soul Reaper Blade.

Item 5: Shiny or Sparkling Phantom String

Travel to the Desolate Deep and fish with the Eidolon Rod, Blessed or Glittered enchant, Garbage Bait, and a Sparkling totem. An All-Season potion stabilizes the weather rolls. Once you hand over the Phantom String, you receive the Soulreaper Bonds, which complete your set of three rod components.

Finding the Three Ghost Buddies

With the Handle, Blade, and Bonds all collected, the Reaper sends you to three invisible ghost NPCs scattered across the map. Each ghost takes one specific piece, and the prompt only appears when you are holding that exact item, so equip the correct piece before pressing the prompt.

Here is where to find each ghost:

  • Ghost 1: Located at Rossalith Volcano, on the top edge of the rim. This ghost will ask for the Soul Reaper Handle.
  • Ghost 2: Found at the Enchon Altar area, near the King’s Rod location. Make sure your lantern is on, as this area is dark. This ghost asks for the Soul Reaper Bonds.
  • Ghost 3: Located at the Living Garden, behind the Innkeeper’s building. This ghost takes the Soul Reaper Blade.

The order of delivery does not matter, but each ghost takes only the part it asks for. After all three deliveries, return to the Reaper at the Underground Music Venue to claim the full rod and the Soul Reaper title.

SOULREAPER Rod Stats

Here is what you are working with once the rod is yours:

  • Lure Speed: Infinite
  • Luck: 288.88% (approximately 289%)
  • Control: 0.177 (approximately 17.7%)
  • Resilience: 16.66% (approximately 17%)
  • Max KG: Infinite
  • Progress Speed: Plus 33%

The SOULREAPER has 0.177 control, resulting in a bar that is 47.7% of the reeling minigame. The infinite lure speed and max KG are genuinely impressive, and the 289% luck stat puts it firmly in the upper tier for rare fish hunting.

The Paranormal Passive and Is It Worth It?

The passive on the SOULREAPER is one of its most visually interesting features. When active, it causes fish to float using a grave-like gravity effect before the catch registers, and it applies the Paranormal mutation. However, the Paranormal mutation only gives a five-times sell value multiplier, which is on the weaker end compared to other top-tier mutations in the game.

I think the honest take here is this: the SOULREAPER is not the most efficient rod for grinding raw currency, but it is one of the coolest rods to use if you enjoy fishing with style. The rod also has a chance to apply the Spirit mutation and appears to give a fish size boost during regular use, which adds some practical value on top of the aesthetics.

For enchantments, Piercing and Overclock work well since the rod does not have a built-in progress boost passive, and those two enchantments compensate effectively.
