Grow a Garden Royal Jelly Mutation – How to Get It, Farm It Fast, and Make the Most of Bizzy Bee Part 2

The Bizzy Bee Part 2 update is live in Grow a Garden, and it brings one of the most exciting new mechanics the game has seen in a while. We are talking about Royal Jelly, a brand new currency that powers a mutation system capable of changing how you farm and sell crops. If you have been keeping up with the Bizzy Bee event, this update builds directly on everything you already grinded for. And if you are just jumping in now, do not worry. We are going to walk you through exactly how everything works.

What Is Royal Jelly in Grow a Garden

Royal Jelly is the new event currency introduced in Bizzy Bee Part 2. You earn it by completing quests from the Queen Bee NPC, located at the center of Honey Island. When you interact with her and click View Quests, she gives you three tasks to finish. These quests refresh every hour, so there is a consistent cycle to work with. Tasks range from harvesting plants in your honey garden to hatching bee eggs and pollinating crops. Each quest pays out a different amount of Royal Jelly depending on how difficult it is. Once you complete a task, the currency goes straight into your account.

A full quest cycle, assuming you clear all three tasks, gives you around 125 Royal Jelly per hour. That number adds up quickly if you stay consistent. The key habit that most players miss is leaving your crops unharvested right before the quest timer resets. If your garden is already prepped, you can finish harvest quests in under a minute instead of waiting around for plants to grow mid-cycle.

How the Royal Jelly Incubator Works

The star mechanic of this update is the Royal Jelly Incubator. It sits right in front of the honey compressor kiosks on the map, and the process is straightforward. You place any regular seed into the machine, spend Royal Jelly based on that seed’s rarity, and then claim the transformed version once incubation finishes. Honey seeds cannot be submitted, so stick to regular seeds from the shop.

The higher the rarity of the seed you put in, the more Royal Jelly it will cost. A basic seed like a Romanesco can cost around 1,800 Royal Jelly to convert. That is not cheap, and it highlights why planning matters here. We strongly recommend testing with a cheaper seed first before committing your stash to something expensive. Understand the mutation rates on a low-cost seed, then decide where to invest your currency once you know what you are working with.

What Is the Jelly Gem Mutation

When you grow a jelly variant seed, the crops it produces have an increased chance of gaining the Jelly Gem mutation. This mutation gives your fruit a 25x value multiplier on top of your base crop value. To put that in perspective, it sits right alongside the Rainbow mutation in terms of how powerful it is, making it one of the strongest multipliers currently available in the game.

This is not just a cosmetic change. A 25x multiplier on a high-value crop can shift what your garden earns per harvest cycle in a major way. If you are serious about farming, the Jelly Gem mutation is worth building around. The players who will get the most value out of it are the ones who save their better seeds and let their Royal Jelly stack up before committing to a conversion.

What Is in the Royal Jelly Shop

Beyond the Incubator, Royal Jelly gives you access to a dedicated shop with several items worth knowing about. Here is what is currently available and what each one costs:

  • Pollen Puffball seed (Rare) for 25 Royal Jelly
  • Grape Droplet seed (Legendary) for 75 Royal Jelly
  • Carpenter Bee (Rare) for 150 Royal Jelly
  • Pet Shard RoyalJelly (Mythical) for 500 Royal Jelly
  • King Bee (Divine) for 1,200 Royal Jelly
  • Pohutukawa seed (Prismatic) for 2,500 Royal Jelly

The King Bee is the standout pet here. Every 20 minutes, it applies the Pollinated mutation to six random fruits in your garden. Every 10 minutes after that, all pollinated fruits get a 15 percent chance to also receive the Honey Gem mutation, which carries a 33x value multiplier. The King Bee works passively, so you do not need to babysit your garden to benefit from it. For players who already have a garden full of pollinated crops, it is the single best Royal Jelly investment you can make.

The Carpenter Bee is more of a niche pick. Every eight minutes, it converts a pollinated or honey-glazed fruit into a Bee Castle cosmetic item. If you enjoy decorating your garden, it has clear appeal. For pure farming efficiency though, King Bee wins easily.

The Pet Mutation Shard Royal Jelly

One item that deserves its own mention is the Pet Mutation Shard Royal Jelly, available for 500 Royal Jelly. It looks like a glowing pink hexagon and applies the Royal Jelly mutation directly to a pet. Once applied, that pet gains 7 XP per second for every Royal Jelly plant in your garden, up to a maximum of 50 plants. At full capacity, that is 350 XP per second from one pet alone. If you plan to fill your garden with jelly variant crops, this shard scales into a genuinely strong long-term investment.

How to Farm Royal Jelly Efficiently

The fastest way to build your Royal Jelly stack is to run a split garden. Keep a dedicated patch of fast-growing crops like strawberries, blueberries, and tomatoes in one corner specifically for quest clears. These let you finish harvest tasks in seconds rather than waiting on slow, high-value crops that take forever to grow.

Clear easy and medium quests every refresh cycle. Only take on hard quests when they match what your garden can already do efficiently. And above all, do not burn your Royal Jelly on weak seeds just to try the machine. Save it for seeds that will give you strong, long-term farming returns. The Jelly Gem mutation at 25x and the Honey Gem from the King Bee at 33x are both powerful enough to seriously change how your late-event garden performs. Plan before you spend, and this update will reward you well.
