The Dandy’s World community had been waiting for this one, and honestly, the wait was worth it. Update v0.19.1 dropped and brought us the brand new Duo Machine type, 14 fresh achievements, and a reworked machine spawn system that changes how we approach every single floor. We got to dig into all of it, and here is our full breakdown of what changed, what it means for your runs, and what we think about the direction this game is heading.
What Are Duo Machines?
If you have been playing Dandy’s World for a while, you already know the grind of completing machines solo or hoping a teammate finds the same one you are on. 2-Players Machines flip that script entirely. They are a new fourth machine type added in v0.19.1, and they work exactly the way the name suggests. Two players can work on the same machine at the same time, combining their Extraction Speed stats to finish it significantly faster than a solo run on a single machine.
What makes this addition genuinely exciting is the hybridization system. Dandy’s World Duo Machines do not just come in one fixed pairing. We are seeing combinations like double default, double circle, double treadmill, circle and treadmill together, default and treadmill, and default and circle all in the same run. That variety means almost any team composition can make use of a Duo Machine, depending on which version spawns. A Pebble and a Bassie, for example, are now a natural fit when a double treadmill appears. That kind of flexibility is something this game genuinely needed.

Dandy’s World Duo Machines start spawning from Floor 2 onwards. The total Ichor needed to complete one is the same as a regular single machine, so when two players work it together, you are essentially cutting your time in half. One important note though: if you are playing solo and end up on a Duo Machine alone, it behaves like a normal single machine. No penalty, no bonus. This was a smart design call, and we are glad they did not double the completion time like they did with Treadmill Machines when those first launched.
How Machine Spawns Changed
This is the part of the update we think deserves more attention than it is getting. The developers adjusted the number of machines that spawn on each floor based on how many players are in your run. Before this patch, machine count scaled primarily with the floor number and full lobby size. Now it takes your actual surviving player count into consideration throughout the run.
Here is why that matters for us. In the past, when teammates left or got eliminated early, you were still stuck completing the same amount of machines with a shrinking team. That felt punishing in a way that killed runs fast. Now, the game compensates for a lower team count by reducing the number of machines you need to finish. If you started with four players and lose one, the floor adjusts. Solo players also benefit, starting with fewer machines in the early floors and seeing that number scale up more gradually as they go deeper.
The maximum machine count for a full party also dropped from 20 to 16. Some people initially questioned that decision, but when you factor in that Duo Machines are now in the pool and completions are faster, the total time per floor still evens out or improves. It just feels cleaner and less like a chore.
Visual Changes and Quality of Life Fixes
A few smaller changes came with this update that we want to highlight because they actually improve moment-to-moment gameplay in a real way.
- Machines now glow yellow when someone is actively working on them. This makes it much easier to see at a glance what is already being handled across the floor, especially on larger maps.
- Vee received a buff. Her Camera Hijack ability now highlights the two nearest unfinished or partially completed machines instead of just one. Combined with the new machine glow, she has become an even stronger information-gathering support.
- Scraps got a buff as well. When using his grapple ability near a machine, it now displays how much Ichor is inside, giving you better context for whether a machine is worth prioritizing.
- Flight’s Gus ability was adjusted so the buff timer now only starts counting down after you leave the area of effect, not while you are still in it. That is a meaningful tweak for anyone who relies on Gus in their loadout.
- The Ichor liquid inside machines was visually updated to look more like an actual fluid, which is a minor but appreciated graphical touch.

The 14 New Achievements
This update came with 14 new achievements added to the Journal. Each one rewards a unique title and a Roblox badge. We broke down the full list so you know what to aim for:
- Use a GT sticker during panic mode
- Stay with Twisted Glisten for 30 seconds without breaking line of sight
- Hug someone into the elevator during panic mode as Goob
- Collect all research capsules on any single floor
- Experience a blackout triggered by Twisted Brightney
- Complete a floor with Twisted Dandy active while playing as a main tune
- Survive five floors in one run with no trinkets equipped
- Complete a floor with an active Ichor leak without touching a single Ichor puddle
- Use Astro’s Naptime ability to give stamina to three tunes at once outside the elevator
- Choose a vote card with all eight votes unanimous
- Complete 10 perfect skill checks within a single floor as a one-star skill check tune
- Fill all inventory slots with medkits and bandages
- Complete a Duo Machine alongside another player at the same time
- Complete a Duo Machine that seven other toons directly contributed to
Most of these are very doable in a normal run. The Twisted Glisten one requires patience, and the unanimous vote card is more about luck than skill. The seven-contributor machine is likely the hardest to pull off with randoms.
Our Honest Take on the Update
We think this update is genuinely good. Not perfect, but a real step forward for how the game feels to play. The Duo Machine variety is the highlight. Seeing a double treadmill appear mid-run still feels rare and exciting, and that rarity gives the mechanic weight. If everything were a Duo Machine, we would take them for granted. The current spawn rates keep them feeling like a reward.
That said, we do think single machines are starting to feel redundant. When a Duo Machine appears and gets completed at nearly twice the speed, landing on a regular default machine right after feels like a step backward. The developers built something objectively faster and more engaging. It is only a matter of time before the community starts pushing hard for single machines to be phased out or made far rarer.
The spawn rate transparency is also something we want flagged. The devlog did not share exact percentage breakdowns for how often Dandy’s World Duo Machines appear. We know the higher your survivor count, the better your chances. But we would love concrete numbers. Knowing whether you have a 10% or a 40% chance on any given floor changes how you plan your route and prioritize machines. We hope that information gets shared in a future update or community post.
Overall, if you have been taking a break from Dandy’s World, now is a solid time to jump back in. The floors move faster, the team mechanics feel more meaningful, and there is a solid achievement list to work through. We will keep covering updates here at Fans First Booyah as the game continues to grow toward its full release.
