We have spent a solid amount of time grinding through it, and the combat system is surprisingly deep for such a new game. You can choose between different souls, weapons, and melee styles, and the gap between the best and worst options is massive. If you pick the wrong build early, you will feel it during boss fights and farming. Let us break down the full tier list so you can make smarter choices from the start.

SSJ4 Goku and Kid Buu are simply the best souls available right now. We have tested both extensively, and they consistently outperform every other option across farming, PvE, and boss battles. SSJ4 Goku comes with a full transformation and strong attacks that scale well into late-game. Kid Buu hits hard, looks flashy, and brings excellent overall damage with abilities that feel genuinely satisfying. Both are legendary rarity, meaning they are rare to roll. If you unlock either through boss chests or the Soul Dealer in West City, hold onto them. One practical tip: enable “Auto M1s” in your game settings once you have a legendary soul. It auto-attacks while you are idle and passively builds your soul stats without you needing to sit at your screen all day.

S Tier

• Kizaru

Kizaru is the strongest soul outside the top two. It offers great speed, solid mobility, and reliable damage in most combat situations. We found it especially useful for farming faster enemies. It does not reach the same ceiling as SSJ4 Goku or Kid Buu, but it comfortably clears all current content.

A Tier

• Itachi
• Gaara

Both are solid picks that handle most progression content without issues. We used Itachi for a good stretch during mid-game and found it reliable for farming and regular PvE. They are especially useful for players still grinding toward legendary souls.

B and C Tier

Kid Gohan works well enough in the early game but starts falling off once you hit harder content. The scaling simply does not keep up. We recommend using it as a temporary option while you farm for something better. Natsu sits at the bottom of the rankings. Farming feels noticeably slower with it, and boss fights take longer than they should. If you roll Natsu, keep grinding for an upgrade.

Z Tier

• Dark Blade

Dark Blade is the best weapon in Anime Limitless right now. We have run it through multiple boss fights and farming sessions, and the damage output is on another level. It has powerful skills, great range, and it performs equally well for rapid farming and tougher boss encounters. Getting this weapon early is a massive advantage that will carry your progression harder than almost anything else.

S Tier

• Coyote Starrk
• Zoro 2SS

Coyote Starrk brings strong ranged pressure with flashy attacks, making it very effective for clearing groups quickly. Zoro 2SS focuses on sword-based damage with excellent combo potential. We spent a good chunk of time using Zoro 2SS before upgrading, and it handled everything comfortably. Both are the go-to alternatives if you do not have Dark Blade yet.

Hand Axe sits in A Tier as a decent mid-game stepping stone. Katana is a C Tier beginner weapon that falls off quickly. Replace it as soon as you can and do not invest too much into it.

Anime Limitless Melee Tier List

The melee system has fewer options right now, but your choice still matters, especially on melee-focused builds.

Black Leg and Fishman Karate are the two strongest melee styles currently available. Both are a clear step up from the default Combat style and noticeably improve farming efficiency. We personally leaned toward Black Leg for its fluidity in combo chains, but Fishman Karate hits just as hard. If you are running a melee build, unlocking one of these early is definitely worth the investment. Default Combat is fine at the very start, but upgrade it as soon as you hit mid-game content.

Best Builds Right Now

Pairing the right soul with the right weapon is where Anime Limitless really opens up. These are the strongest build combinations we have found through our own gameplay:

• SSJ4 Goku + Dark Blade (best all-around build for farming and bosses)
• Kid Buu + Zoro 2SS (strong combo damage with great boss performance)
• Kizaru + Coyote Starrk (excellent speed and range for fast farming)

The SSJ4 Goku and Dark Blade combo is the most dominant setup in the current meta. Adding Black Leg as your melee style on top of either of the first two builds pushes your overall damage output even higher.

How to Get Legendary Souls

Since SSJ4 Goku and Kid Buu are the most important parts of any strong build, knowing how to farm them matters. There are two main methods. Boss chests drop from enemies across different islands and can contain souls of any rarity, but legendary drops are rare, so you need to farm consistently. The Soul Dealer in West City charges 25,000 in-game cash per roll and gives you a more direct way to chase rarities. If you unlock a legendary soul and want to rebuild your stat distribution later, visit the Soul Reset NPC in West City for 150 gems, earned through quests and boss fights.

Anime Limitless is still very new, and the meta will shift with updates, balance patches, and new soul additions.
