Fisch Roblox Livyatan Hunt Guide – How to Spawn, Catch, and Profit from Roblox’s Scariest Exotic Fish

Fisch on Roblox just got a whole lot more terrifying. On May 30, 2026, the developers dropped a Minor Update that brought two new Companions, fresh NPCs, and one seriously dangerous new creature: the Livyatan. If you have been playing Fisch for a while, you know how exciting a new Exotic-tier fish can be. We are here to break down everything about this beast so you can be fully prepared before you head to Ancient Isle.

What Is the Livyatan in Fisch?

The Livyatan is a brand-new Exotic-tier aquatic added to Fisch in the May 30, 2026 Minor Update. It sits at the Exotic rarity level, which means it is one of the most valuable catches you can land in the game right now. What makes it stand out is its striking design. The creature has a massive dark-blue body with a lighter underbelly, a broad whale-like head, small fins, and a narrow tail. Its mouth is lined with sharp teeth, giving it an appearance that blends a great white shark with a whale. In simple terms, it looks like something that should not exist in any ocean.

One thing we want to stress is that the Livyatan is not just a rare fish sitting in a pool. It is an aggressive world-level predator. It can dive below the surface, leap out of the water, and attack nearby boats. Each attack deals 50 damage to your boat’s health. So if you sail too close without being ready, you could find yourself in a very bad situation very quickly.

How to Spawn the Livyatan Hunt

This is where things get interesting. The Livyatan Hunt is a server-wide event that spawns near Ancient Isle. Unlike some other events in Fisch, you cannot trigger it using Totems or Codes. You also cannot speed it up with the Sundial Totem. The spawn is tied to player behavior in the area, which means your actions actually matter here.

There are three ways to increase your chances of seeing a Livyatan Hunt:

  • Catch a Mosasaurus near Ancient Isle during a foggy night using Truffle Worm bait. This gives a 5% chance of triggering a Livyatan Hunt.
  • Catch a Megalodon during the Megalodon Hunt. This gives a 10% chance of triggering a Livyatan Hunt.
  • Fish normally around Ancient Isle to create Disturbance and potentially anger the Livyatan into appearing.

We recommend focusing on Megalodon farming if you want the best odds. A 10% trigger rate per catch is genuinely solid compared to most event mechanics in Fisch. Teaming up with friends to farm Megalodons and Mosasaurus together will save you a lot of waiting time.

One thing we found particularly interesting is the risk that comes with regular fishing near Ancient Isle. Fishing casually in that area can anger the Livyatan and cause it to appear on its own. We suggest you avoid casual fishing near Ancient Isle unless you are actually prepared to fight and reel in the Livyatan. You do not want to trigger it while you are under-equipped.

Livyatan Hunt: How It Works

Once the Livyatan Hunt begins, it lasts for 15 minutes. The hunt ends the moment someone catches the Livyatan or the time runs out. Only one Livyatan Hunt can run at any given time on a server. The fish pool appears in purple on the Fish Radar, so you can spot it quickly once it spawns.

Head straight to the Ancient Isle point of interest at coordinates 5833, 125, 401. Look around the island for the pool. You will know it when you see it because the Livyatan’s large, dark body and sharp teeth are hard to miss.

How to Catch the Livyatan

Reeling in the Livyatan is not easy. The fish has a -96% Progress Speed applied during the reeling minigame, meaning the catch takes significantly longer than normal. On top of that, the Livyatan has a unique Rampage ability. There is a 30% chance per fish movement for it to go into a Rampage state. When it does, it reduces your current reeling progress by 20% and shrinks your Control bar by 30% for about 2.2 seconds. This resets on a 5-second cooldown.

This means your rod setup is absolutely critical. Here is what we recommend bringing:

  • Bait: Shark Head
  • Time of Day: Daytime
  • Weather: None required
  • Rod: A high-resilience, high-luck option such as the Serraphic, No Life, Elemental, or Oniflarx Rod
  • Enchantments: Blessed, Sea Overlord, Swift, or Sovereign Relic

The reason resilience matters so much here is the Rampage mechanic. The Livyatan moves fast and aggressively. Without high resilience, those wild bar swings will destroy your progress before you even get close to catching it. Luck matters too, because it helps the Livyatan bite your bait rather than some random Ocean fish appearing at that spot.

Why the Livyatan Is Worth Hunting

The Livyatan is a standout addition to Fisch for more than just the thrill of the catch. As an Exotic-tier fish, it commands a strong sell price, making it one of the better money-making opportunities available at the moment. The Livyatan Hunt is also described as one of the more frequently occurring hunt events in Fisch, which means you will have more opportunities to farm it compared to some of the rarer boss events in the game.

Beyond the money angle, catching a Livyatan is a great flex. It is a genuinely difficult fish to reel in, and the whole process of farming Megalodons and Mosasaurus just to trigger the event makes the eventual catch feel earned. We think this is one of the better-designed hunt events in Fisch’s history because it ties multiple fishing activities together into one chain of progression.

Final Tips Before You Go Hunting

We want to leave you with a few practical reminders before you set sail for Ancient Isle. Stay alert during the hunt because the Livyatan attacks boats. Bring a durable vessel and avoid parking too close to the pool. Watch the global Event spawn chat box constantly so you do not miss a Livyatan Hunt while you are farming the prerequisites. Finally, go with a group whenever you can. Multiple players farming Megalodons and Mosasaurus at the same time speeds up the process considerably and increases the collective chance of triggering the event on your server.

The Livyatan is exactly the kind of creature Fisch needed. It is intimidating, rewarding, and genuinely challenging to catch. We will see you at Ancient Isle.
