For players who are already maxed out on cash and XP, the Splash Snacks investment is worth it purely for item farming. You can fill your aquarium with high-rarity fish and then let the item tab do the heavy lifting.

One thing to keep in mind: duplicate fish in your aquarium reduce their individual efficiency. The game applies a penalty when you add more than one copy of the same fish. So diversifying your aquarium lineup is always the smarter play.
