Fisch Chapel Update – How to Unlock the Waterfall and Get All 5 Rod Skins

The latest Fisch update has added a hidden area called the Chapel, tucked behind the big waterfall in Crystal Cove. It comes packed with five exclusive rod skins, a brand new NPC, and a fresh questline for the Crowbar rod. We have put together this complete guide so you know exactly what to do without wasting hours trying to figure it out yourself.

Getting into the Chapel is not automatic. We need a specific item first, and the rest of the process branches out into five separate questlines once we are inside. Let us break it all down step by step.

How to Get the Crowbar Rod First

Before tackling the Chapel, it makes sense to knock out the Crowbar quest since it only takes a few minutes. Head to the Oil Rig on the right side of Roslet and look for the white-and-red-striped building. Behind it, we find a new NPC named Doug.

Talking to Doug starts a quest that asks for one opal, one ruby, and three amethyst. Most of these can be traded, but two items need actual fishing. We must catch a glass diamond at the Overgrowth Caves in Northern Expedition, and gravitis scrap metal using the Olympian Godbreaker rod with garbage bait equipped.

Once we hand everything over, Doug rewards us with the Crowbar rod. It comes with 85 percent lure speed, 245 percent luck, 35 percent resilience, infinite max kg, and a plus 40 percent progress speed boost. What Opens the Chapel Entrance

The Chapel sits behind the large waterfall at the back of Crystal Cove, near the Underground Music Venue. Walking up to it does nothing by itself. We need to present a relic that carries one of five accepted mutations before the entrance opens at all.

The accepted mutations are Ruinous, Master, Fabulous, Requiem, and Poseidon. Each one corresponds to a different rod skin and a different NPC waiting inside. A plain relic with no mutation will not trigger anything, so check the item name carefully before making the trip.

Presenting a relic permanently consumes it, so only bring one when we are ready to commit. Once we interact with the waterfall and choose to present it, a short animation plays and we get teleported straight into the Chapel.

Meeting the NPCs Inside the Chapel

Once inside, we can see every NPC standing around, but we can only speak to the one matching our relic. The rest brush us off with a line about not having proven ourselves yet. This makes sense once we realize each NPC guards their own skin and their own quest.

The five NPCs and their linked rods are as follows.

• Nyx guards the Requiem Rod and needs a Husk Enchant Relic

• Alexandria guards the Fabulous Rod and needs a Fabulous Enchant Relic
• Scourge guards the Ruinous Oath skin and needs a Mastered Enchant Relic
• Tempest guards the Poseidon Rod and needs a King’s Blessing relic
• Polyhister guards the Masterline Rod and needs an Ascended Enchant Relic

A handy tip here is dropping a Mystic Mirror inside the Chapel. This saves us from walking back through the waterfall entrance every single time we need to return.

Completing Each Rod Questline

Every questline follows a similar pattern, though the difficulty jumps around depending on the rod. Nyx wants husk-mutated catches of five different creatures, then a perfect catch on top of that. Alexandria sends us to Mariana’s Veil for sparkling fabulous catches, ending with a tricky perfect catch on a crystallized sea dragon.

Scourge feels the most approachable of the five, since colossal dragon hunt totems make the required catches much easier to land. Tempest stands out because his quest works like a riddle rather than a straightforward fetch task. We simply use a Poseidon Wrath totem while standing inside Poseidon’s temple in Atlantis to progress the objective instantly.

Polyhister demands the most effort by far. This quest only unlocks after finishing all four other rods, and it asks for a fully completed shiny and sparkling bestiary across several major islands. The follow-up stage then demands shiny sparkling catches on seven different fish, all using the Destiny rod.

Are the New Skins Worth the Grind

Visually, these skins look excellent, and most players rate them highly for their unique designs. That said, none of the five currently carry special animations or custom effects beyond their appearance. This might change in a future update, since the developers have leaned toward animated skins more often lately.

For now, we would call these purely cosmetic trophies that show off the time we put into endgame content. If you already have a strong bestiary and a Destiny rod ready, the grind moves much faster than it looks on paper.
