Adopt Me Forks Location – How to Find All 6 Fork Bundles Fast

Adopt Me just dropped its Tux & Shepherd on the Stray Case update, and it brought a quirky new task with it. A grumpy Mysterious Stranger is hiding behind a locked door at the School, and he wants forks. Six bundles of them, to be exact. This guide walks you through where to find them, how the task works, and a few tricks we picked up while hunting for our own set.

What Is the Retrieve Hidden Forks Quest

This task is officially called Cafeteria Cutlery on your quest board. It kicked off with the Tux & Shepherd update, which also introduced Inspector Shepherd and his new partner, Tux Kitt. The story behind it is simple. Someone has been leaving a trail of forks across Adoption Island, and Shepherd has been following that trail for weeks. It eventually leads to the School, where the Mysterious Stranger is waiting behind a locked door.

Once you reach him, he asks for six Bundles of Forks in exchange for 75 Bucks. You can repeat this task once every in-game day, so it becomes a small daily routine if you keep playing. It is not a hard task once you understand how the bundles work, but it does take a bit of patience the first time around.

How to Start the Fork Quest

Head straight to the School and make your way to the cafeteria area. You will spot Tux Kitt near a locked door. Talk to him first, then knock on the door itself. The Mysterious Stranger speaks to you from the other side and hands you the task. Accept it, and your quest board updates to show a progress counter that starts at 0 out of 6.

From here, the real hunt begins. This is where most players get confused because the forks are not sitting in a single obvious spot. They are disguised as regular objects scattered across the map.

Where the Fork Bundles Actually Spawn

Here is the part that trips people up. Fork locations are not fixed. They change from player to player, and even from session to session for the same player. What worked for your friend might not work for you at all. So instead of chasing a fixed list, we recommend treating any location list as a starting point rather than a guarantee.

That said, forks tend to appear disguised as ordinary items near these general spots:

  • Wooden fences and crates around the main town area
  • Logs near the campsite
  • Barrels close to the playground
  • Chests and beach balls along the beachfront and sandbox
  • Signs and props near the salon
  • Stones placed near the central adoption area

Treat this as a checklist of areas worth walking through, not a map with exact pins. The game shuffles these spawns, and that randomness is actually the point. It keeps the quest fresh instead of turning into a copy-paste route everyone follows.

Using Your Pet as a Search Tool

Your pet is your best friend here, literally. Equip a pet before you start walking, because the game uses your pet’s reactions as a built-in detector. As you get closer to a hidden bundle of forks, your pet starts acting differently. You might see hearts, confused expressions, or your pet suddenly staring in one direction.

Watch for these cues instead of running randomly across the map. Walk in a slow, steady line through one area at a time. When your pet reacts, stop and look around nearby objects, especially anything that seems slightly out of place. This method saves a lot of time compared to sprinting blindly from one end of Adoption Island to the other.

One thing worth remembering is that you need to stay outside buildings while searching. Bundles will not register as collectible if you are indoors, so keep your search focused on outdoor areas like the park, the beach, and the streets connecting them.

Completing the Task and Claiming Your Reward

Once your counter hits 6 out of 6, head straight back to the School door. A prompt appears asking if you want to hand your forks over to the Mysterious Stranger. Confirm it, and 75 Bucks lands directly in your balance. The stranger’s dialogue also changes to confirm the handoff, so you know for sure the task is done.

The quest resets after an in-game day, which means you can come back and repeat the entire hunt again. Since the spawn points shuffle each time, every run feels slightly different, and that keeps the grind from getting repetitive too quickly.

Why This Update Matters for Adopt Me Players

Beyond the Bucks reward, this update signals something bigger. Adopt Me has been leaning into small mystery-style tasks lately, mixing in new characters like Inspector Shepherd and Tux Kitt to give routine quests some actual personality. It is a smart move. Daily fetch quests can get boring fast, but wrapping one inside a detective story gives players a reason to care about the process, not just the payout.

The same update also brought two new ultra-rare pets into the mix: the Tuxedo Cat and the Chihuahua. If you are chasing the Chihuahua and want the full breakdown on hatching odds, locations, and current trade value, we already covered that in our detailed Adopt Me Chihuahua guide. Worth checking out if you are working on building your pet collection alongside this fork quest.

For now, the fork hunt is a low-pressure way to earn extra Bucks daily. Keep your pet close, walk with purpose, and let those little reactions guide you to each bundle. It will not take long before six out of six feels routine.
