Fisch Nate’s Blade Quest Guide – Full Steps, Rewards and Miso

Nate’s Blade is back in Fisch, and this time we earn it through a long quest instead of paying a Black Market price. The chain has many steps, and a few of them can waste hours if you go in blind. We walk through every stage below, from the PIN puzzle to the Miso companion reward. Read it once before you start, and you will save yourself a lot of grinding.

What Is Nate’s Blade in Fisch?

Nate’s Blade is a Stage 10 rod built like a sword. Its design comes from the Demon Blood Sword in Adventure Time. Players first got it through a Black Market event and later through a redeem code. Developers have since turned it into a permanent quest, which is the route we cover here.

The rod has an odd stat line. It starts with zero base control, yet a passive grows the control bar while you reel. That makes fish very hard to lose once you hook them. The key stats are:

  • Lure Speed: 99%
  • Luck: 444%
  • Control: 0 (30% width, expands during a catch)

How to Start the Quest at Sunstone

Travel to Sunstone and walk to the top, where Merlin stands. Go behind Merlin until you reach a small dock area. Follow it to the end and drop down. You land in front of a cave. Enter it and speak to the Miso NPC.

Miso turns on a computer that asks for a PIN. Every player gets a different code, but the clue spots stay the same. You need four cards, and each has a symbol on the back.

Card one sits beside the bed. Card two is on the shelf near the entrance where Miso stood. Card three is inside the vehicle. Card four is on the computer desk. Enter the four symbols in order, then press play. A cutscene reveals that Dr. Itfish is behind everything. Now the real quest begins.

Get the Crimson Centerpiece

The first part is the Crimson Centerpiece. It hides in the Crimson Caverns, which sit inside the Luminescent Caverns in Desolate Deep. We must unlock the Luminescent Caverns first. If the cavern entrance looks sealed, you still need to finish that unlock.

Once the entrance looks open, jump in, swim underwater, and enter the Crimson Cavern. Then fish. The centerpiece is a rare secondary catch. Expect odds between 1 in 25 and 1 in 50. No bait or rod boosts it, so RNG decides everything. Patience matters more than gear here.

Find the Broken Blade

The second part is the Broken Blade in the Depths. Use the Traveler’s Whistle to reach Vertigo, then use it again to reach the Depths. You need an Abyssal Enchant Relic and a Hexed Enchant Relic.

Place the Abyssal relic on the first podium. Climb the waterfall on the left side, grab the Hexed relic, and place it on the second podium. The gate opens, and the maze begins.

The maze doors open and close on their own, so routes change. Our best advice is to hug the left wall and keep moving. If you hit a closed gate, backtrack and wait for the doors to shift. The Broken Blade lies on the floor on the right side at the end.

A Warning for Original Owners

Read this before you continue. If you bought Nate’s Blade from the Black Market, starting the quest makes your old rod restricted. You must finish the whole chain to unrestrict it. Your old enchant is safe, though. You get an imprinted relic that keeps it.

Now place the Crimson Centerpiece on the table behind Miso. The rod forms right there. Pick it up and you own a restricted Nate’s Blade.

Complete the Four Fishing Challenges

Next, the quest gives us four fishing goals. Your quest book tracks every fish, so check it often.

  • Perfect catch every fish at Moosewood Docks, including the pond fish
  • Perfect catch every fish of Mythical rarity and below at Roslit Volcano
  • Perfect catch 20 Colossal Squid at Snowcap
  • Finish the original collection challenge

The first stage trips people up. Docks and pond have different fish, so visit both. Magnet and Garbage bait made this stage smoother. The volcano stage unlocks the rod’s slash ability.

The last challenge is the longest. We need all 126 original fish with Nate’s Blade. We also need five catches with each of the 15 original rods. Add every free original title, boat, lantern, and badge. Then enchant 21 times and see every original weather and modifier.

Boats cost coins, so they are easy. A community wiki lists how to earn each title, which saves a lot of guessing. Plan the lantern early because the seller appears at random spots. For the squid, use buffs if you want an easier time.

Finish the Quest and Free Nate

Talk to Miso after the final challenge. He sends us to find three items. Nate’s Crown sits behind the Statue of Sovereignty. Nate’s Glasses lie underwater in front of the stop sign, near the skeleton. Nate’s Lantern appears on a wall inside the cave on the left side. Use the blade to bash through it.

That opens Dr. Itfish’s lair. Read his evil plan board, then talk him down. After a cutscene, travel to the cave and free Nate. He rewards us with the unrestricted Nate’s Blade and Nate’s car.

Get Miso as Your Companion

One more reward waits. Return to Nate’s cave and find the cheese near the top. Hold it, then give it to Miso. He joins you as a companion.

While you fish, Miso scratches with a 40% chance every 3 seconds. That adds 3% progress. He also chomps with a 4% chance every 10 seconds for 35% progress, with a 20-second cooldown. His aura gives you and nearby players 20% extra luck.

The update also changed three mutations. Rockstar, Lumpy, and Bubblegum now give 4x instead of 2x. The control bar also grows in steps now instead of smoothly.

Is Nate’s Blade Worth the Grind?

We think it is, but only if you enjoy long quests. The rod itself is strong. Miso’s aura adds value on top, especially in group sessions. Yet the 126 fish challenge alone eats many hours.

Our advice is simple. Save your rods, enchant relics, and a few buffs before you begin. Keep your quest book open. Finish the easy tasks first, like boats and titles, while RNG decides your rare catches. That way you never sit idle.
