Anime Vanguards just entered its second anniversary era, and Seiloshibo is one of the biggest reasons to log in. This Demon Slayer-inspired unit has a strange name and a scary kit. We tested it right after launch, and we found a lot to like. Here is everything you need to know.
What Is Seiloshibo in Anime Vanguards?

Seiloshibo arrived on October 12, 2026, with the 2nd Anniversary update. It is an Exclusive tier unit with the Curse element. The design copies Kokushibo, the six-eyed upper-rank demon from Demon Slayer. The name is a playful twist on the developer’s own name.
The game itself has a new look too. It has an open-sky lobby, fresh menus, and a new name, since the game now goes by Vanguards. Seiloshibo fits that fresh start well.
How to Get Seiloshibo

You have two paths. Both work, so pick the one that suits your account.
- Summon on the Anniversary 26 banner. The Exclusive rate sits at 0.5 percent.
- Clear wave 30 of Web Demon Ex in the Spider Forest raid. The drop chance is 10 percent.
The banner cycles through four moon phases, which matches the unit theme. We pulled him quickly with about 300k gems saved. Luck helped us, though, so do not expect the same result every time.
The raid route is slower but safer. A 10 percent chance beats 0.5 percent by a wide margin. If your gems are low, we suggest running Web Demon Ex over and over instead.
How to Evolve Seiloshibo Into Moon Form
Once you own him, head to the Evolve area. You need Demon Cells and essence stones. Demon Cells come from the 2nd Anniversary Shop, and you pay with Cakes.

We lost time here. The Demon Cells do not show up in the raid shop, the crafting room, or the return dungeon. We checked all three before the codex pointed us to the anniversary shop. Save yourself the trouble and go there first.
The price felt cheap to us. Still, the shop rotates out when the event ends, so buy early. Without the cells, the Evolve button stays locked.
After evolving, the unit becomes Seiloshibo (Moon). The evolve screen shows a starting damage of 1.20k. That number looks small, but the upgrades change everything.
Seiloshibo Moon Passives Explained
The passives make this unit special. Most of them reward you for stacking status effects. Here are the key ones.
- Waxing Demon boosts demon hunter allies. It also adds 25 percent damage for each new unique status effect on an enemy.
- Lunar Phases sets the bleed effect at 50 percent for 8 seconds. Slow hits 50 percent for 20 seconds.
- 500 Years of Experience guarantees crits on wounded enemies once per match for demon hunter allies.
- Transparent World grants 50 percent damage for each status effect applied on an attack.
There is also a safety net. If you would lose while he stands on the field, he rewinds enemies for 30 seconds and restores one stock. It works once per match. Think of it as a free second chance in a tough wave.
The Full Moon Phase
This is where Seiloshibo becomes scary. His attacks cycle through waxing, new moon, and crescent phases. After one full cycle, he gains Full Moon for 30 seconds.
Full Moon attacks inflict Destruction and every lunar effect. They ignore 70 percent of enemy damage reduction. They also deal double damage to enemies with an overshield.
The range trick surprised us most. If no enemy stands in range, his reach grows until something is hit. The change happens instantly. In practice, he has near-infinite range with a line attack. Since Full Moon applies five status effects at once, Transparent World pushes his damage very high.
Damage and Upgrade Numbers
Here is how his damage grows during our showcase test:
- After the first upgrades, he hits about 1.3 million.
- Waxing Slash brings it to roughly 1.8 million.
- Waning Retribution lifts it near 3 million.
- The final upgrade reaches around 6 million every 7 seconds.
These numbers look lower than older units. That is because the update scaled damage down across the whole game. Compare him with last season’s top damage dealers, and he still stands out. The old best units sat near 1.67 million in our comparison. He reaches several times that at max level.
His attack is a big slice with plenty of status effects. We noticed missing sound effects during testing. The developers will likely add them later, as the lobby itself still feels unfinished.
Best Traits and Memoria Setup
Strong gear matters here. Use this plan.
- Roll for the Monarch trait. Filter for it and use instant rolls to save time.
- Use the Divinity memoria for extra power.
- Pick a memoria with a godly stat roll. We aimed for triple godly stats.
- Level the memoria before you test the unit.
The Shining Moon memoria adds 60 percent damage when a demon hunter unit uses it. That bonus stacks well with the rest of the kit.
Memoria shards are easy to farm, so rerolling stays cheap. Also try the new memoria maker. It lets you stack passives from Secret and Vanguard memorias onto one memoria. The tool needs careful planning, but the ceiling looks huge.
Is Seiloshibo Worth It?
We say yes. He is easy to get through the raid, and his kit scales very well. Demon Hunter teams gain the most, since several allies get crit and damage boosts. Units like Alucard and Ichigo fit that role.
New players should also check the unit mastery system. Every 10 stage wins with a unit on your team earns a chroma token. Old tokens do not count, so start fresh.
Seiloshibo needs setup and some patience. Still, a free second chance, high damage, and huge reach make him a top pick this season. Grab him before the anniversary event ends.
