Fischfright 3 Guide – New Fish, Relics and Rewards in Fisch

Fischfright 3 has landed in Fisch, and it is the biggest Halloween event so far. We get a new island, a deeper ritual system, and a huge bestiary. It feels bigger, and it also feels grindier. This guide walks us through the key parts so you can plan your time and skip the confusion.

How to Reach Caustic Hollow

Start at Moosewood, where the Dutchman’s ship waits on the left side. Talk to the captain and choose to set sail. A short cutscene plays, and we arrive at Caustic Hollow. This island is where we spend almost the whole event.

Open your inventory and place the Candy Bucket on your hotbar. We need it to trick-or-treat at every house. Knock on a door, pick treat or trick, and we may win event fish plus treats. Treats are the event currency. Selling fish to the merchant earns them too.

Take two quests early: the Pumpkin King and the Youngster Goblin. The Pumpkin King quest works as a tutorial. Stay off the green acid around the island, because it takes you out instantly.

Beatrix, Goblins and Hex Stages

Beatrix is the heart of the event. We feed her cauldron witch ingredients, and each one adds hex energy. Goblins spawn in areas the game announces. Each goblin gives a task, such as jumping, dancing, insulting Beatrix, or catching bestiary fish. Difficulty runs from easy to ultimate, and we get 13 minutes to finish. Ingredients range from a dirty candy corn at one hex energy up to the dark arts skull at five.

Higher stages need bestiary progress, and this gate catches many players off guard.

  • Stage two needs 20 percent of the Fischfright 3 bestiary.
  • Stage three needs 40 percent.
  • Stage four needs 60 percent.

Our advice is simple. Fish between goblin runs. Otherwise, we stall with a pocket full of ingredients and nowhere to spend them. Rewards along the way include the Eldritch rod at 10 hex energy and a Dutchman’s curse jet ski at 160. The Reaping Dutchman boat arrives at 500, and the Frightful Broom at 750. After 750, every 50 hex energy gives us a random relic.

Fischfright 3: all new fishes

The bestiary holds 44 fish this year. Some come from open water, some from trick-or-treating, and some from frightful pools. Pools come in colors, and each color boosts certain catches. Read every bestiary entry, because it tells us exactly where to fish.

Conditions matter most. Many rare catches need night plus Jack-o-Moon weather. Black licorice and sour jelly candy are the baits we reach for most often. A few catches deserve special attention:

  • Dobhar: black licorice, Jack-o-Moon, night, with a better chance in the doomed pool.
  • Skeleton Sturgeon: black licorice in foggy weather, with a better chance in the grim pool.
  • Jack-o-Angler: black licorice or hallow-pop, Jack-o-Moon, night.
  • Ghoul Nessie: sour jelly candy, Jack-o-Moon, night, during the haunted cemetery event only.

Do not rely on trick-or-treating alone. Doors give fish only some of the time, so we treat them as a bonus. Dobhar also matters for the Dullahan quest, which rewards the fabled rose. A few entries still show unknown requirements, so expect updates as players test them.

Fischfright 3 relics and skulls

Relics and skulls come in four types: grim, vile, doomed, and Eldritch. Relics enchant our rods and add mutation chances. Skulls mostly serve the cemetery rituals. We can find both by fishing, trick-or-treating, completing quests, and shopping at the Dutchman merchant.

The Scarecrow Maze gives a vile relic and a doom skull once we help all six scarecrows. Haunted houses offer another path. Watch for a door number glowing green. Knock, and we face a 50/50 chance of a jump scare or a ghost minigame. Win it, and we land in a small area with one cast and a 10 percent chance at the ghost. A jump scare costs us some treats.

Buying is the safest route. Grim, vile, and doomed relics cost 2,500 treats each. The Eldritch relic costs 7,500. Here is what each one does:

  • Grim: 10 percent grim mutation, plus 25 initial progress, minus 10 percent resilience.
  • Vile: 10 percent vile mutation, plus 10 percent forced progress speed, minus 10 percent fish size.
  • Doomed: 10 percent doomed mutation, minus 0.15 control, and inconsistent slashes.
  • Eldritch: 10 percent Eldritch mutation, a 50 percent chance to pull a drifting fish back, and one borrowed trait.

The Eldritch relic uses both enchant slots. We pick it only when we want that mutation. The grim relic helps most against fast fish, since the progress boost gives us a head start.

Rituals, Rods and Companions

The ritual grounds sit behind house 813. Each ritual needs the one before it, plus awakened skeletal hands. We wake those hands with the dark arts skull and four roses. Friends can pool items, which saves a lot of time.

The Doomsekkar rod needs 100 fish from a frightful pool, 50 perfect catches, and a haunted house win. Our Doomsekkar rod stats and mutation guide covers its passive in detail.

The Omniscient Spinecaster is the endgame prize. Its crow adds mutation, slash, and weight bonuses with each perfect catch, up to six stacks. Clean minigames pay off here. We also need a plush Nessie, which drops rarely while trick-or-treating.

Final Tips for Fischfright 3

Plan your week around three jobs. Fish for the bestiary, run goblins for hex energy, and save treats for relics. The vacuum we unlock at 65 hex energy lets us catch the giddy ghost in the haunted cemetery. Bring a group, because the tombstone timer runs out fast. Cat quests rotate daily, so check for the Vanny kitty and the rare witch kitty. Fischfright 3 is a grind, but a steady routine keeps it fun.
