Steal an Egg Dog’s Lost Things Locations – All 4 Items for Echo’s Memories Quest

Steal an Egg’s Halloween Dimension added a spooky side quest called Echo’s Memories. A ghost dog named Echo has lost his memories, and we need to find four items to restore them. The quest sounds simple, but the map is dark, and the clues are vague. We pulled every route together in one place. Here is where to start, where each item hides, and what you get at the end.

How to Start Echo’s Memories Quest

First, you need access. The Halloween Dimension opens through a portal near the Trails Shop. You need at least 2.5 million Speed to enter. If you fall short, focus on Speed upgrades first. Live game events boost Speed gains, so we suggest grinding during those windows.

Next, find Echo. Walk diagonally left from the spawn point. Look for the second house, which has an orange witch hat on the roof and three tombstones beside it. Echo waits near a cauldron and some bones. He has long blue ears, a blue tongue, and a yellow exclamation mark above his head. Talk to him, and the quest begins.

All 4 Dog’s Lost Things Locations

Good news first. You can collect the items in any order. Click the quest banner at the top of your screen to read clues and track your progress. We suggest one loop route that covers the pumpkin house, the train station, and the manor. This saves a lot of walking.

Here are the four items you need:

  • Mr. Squeaky: a white rabbit toy near the pumpkin house and altar
  • Chewed Bone: on the swamp riverbank by the Phantom Express station
  • Collar: beside a large tree past the train tracks
  • Old Photograph: behind pumpkins near the Abandoned Manor gate

Mr. Squeaky is Echo’s favorite toy. Start at the pumpkin house straight ahead of Echo. The white rabbit sits right in front of it. Some players also spot it near the Halloween Altar in the Haunted Swamp. Guides describe two nearby spots, so check both before you move on. Press E to pick it up.

The Chewed Bone needs a trip to the right side of the map. Look for the Phantom Express station on the right edge of the playable area. Stand by the right ladder and face the Haunted Swamp. Walk straight and pass the stone. The bone lies near the rocks on the riverbank, in front of two small pumpkins.

The Collar sits close to the station, so grab it right after the bone. Climb the platform from the left ladder and cross the railway tracks. A large tree stands just beyond them. The collar rests next to its trunk. This is the easiest item of the four, because the station is hard to miss.

The Old Photograph needs the longest walk. Head back to the spawn and follow the main road straight ahead. It leads you to the Abandoned Manor gate. Turn left and look for two large pumpkins and a rock formation. Jump behind them, and the photograph appears. We save this one for last, since it sits far from the others.

The station works as a hub for two items. That means you can clear half the quest without wandering the swamp. Do the pumpkin house first, then the station, and finish at the manor.

What Happens After You Return the Items

Bring all four items back to Echo. He remembers his owner and runs toward the pier in the Haunted Swamp. Follow him closely. He moves fast, and the path has a few tricky turns. One wrong step can slow you down, so keep your eyes on the dog.

At the pier, you meet the Ghost Fisherman. He is Echo’s old owner, and he thanks you with the Haunted Rod. This reward matters because the rod unlocks the next step of the event.

How to Get the Phantom Express Ticket

The ticket comes from a short fishing minigame. Talk to the Ghost Fisherman, then cast the Haunted Rod into the swamp. A giant fish pulls you underwater and drags you through a race course. Here is how to finish it:

  • Dodge every sea mine along the course
  • Reach the end to open a chest automatically
  • Collect the Phantom Express Ticket from the chest

After that, the same fish attacks again. The Ghost Fisherman pulls you back onto the pier with his rod. Keep the ticket safe. You use it to board the ghost train when it arrives at the Phantom Express station.

What Comes After the Ticket

Once you board the train, the event turns into a ghost hunt. Ghosts appear around you, and you need to aim at them to take their souls. The mechanic is simple, so stay calm and keep your aim steady. Some players found it easier than the swamp chase.

We also want to warn you about fake guides. Steal an Egg has no code redeem box, so any site promising Halloween codes or free eggs is wrong. Skip those and spend the time on the quest instead.

Quick Tips for a Smooth Run

  • Reach 2.5 million Speed before you enter the dimension
  • Check the quest banner when a clue feels unclear
  • Follow the loop route to save time
  • Stay close to Echo during the pier chase

Echo’s Memories is a short quest with a strong reward. The Haunted Rod and the Phantom Express Ticket open a new part of the Halloween event. We hope this guide gets you through it fast. Share your route with other players, and check back with us for more Steal an Egg updates.
