The Abandoned Manor gate sits at the far end of the Halloween Dimension. It looks locked, and it is. The chained Manor Door needs one item, the Manor Key, and you can’t buy it or pick it up off the ground. You have to fish for it.
We spent time going through the full route, and it is simpler than it looks. This guide walks you through every step so you don’t waste your time.
What you need before you start
Preparation saves the most time here. Many players reach the lake and realize they forgot something. We suggest you check this short list first:
- A fishing rod, which you get from Echo’s quest
- A Phantom Express Ticket
- The Sport Fish pet, which some players report needing for the secret area
- Enough time to fish, since the key does not drop on the first cast

Where to find the Manor Key
The key lives in a secret fishing area. You reach it through the Halloween event train, so the journey has a few stops. We broke it into clear steps below.
Start at the hub and hold your Phantom Express Ticket while the boarding notice shows. Walk through the Graveyard toward the Haunted Swamp. The train station sits there. Use the Board Train prompt, then stay on the train through the tunnel. It drops you at the Halloween event destination.
Once you arrive, equip your rod. Head to the nearby lake and pass the Soul Shrine on the way. You will see a glowing green whirlpool on the water. Jump into it. This sends you into an underground cavern with a wooden dock.
Cast your line from that dock. The fishing screen shows a “Click Fast” prompt, so tap quickly when it appears. Keep casting until the Manor Key lands in your inventory. Patience matters here. We would not expect a key on the first or second try.
How to get the Sport Fish pet
Go back to the main spawn area and find the pond. Fish there until the Sport Fish pet shows up. You may need a few casts, so stay relaxed. Most players get it within a short session.
If the whirlpool does not let you in, this pet is the first thing we would check. Reset your character, grab the pet, and try the route again.
How to open the Manor Door
After you catch the key, teleport back outside and walk to the gate area. You can slip through the gate sides even when it looks closed. The Manor Door sits ahead with a “Locked” status and chains across it.
Walk up with the Manor Key in hand and press the interaction prompt. The chains drop, and the door opens. You can now walk into the manor grounds and reach the house.
One tip from us: do the whole route in one run. If you leave the cavern and wander off, you waste time walking back. Fish, collect the key, and go straight to the door.
What is inside the Manor
The house holds a new fusion machine. This is the real reward for all that fishing. The recipe asks for four pets in total:
- 2 Ghost Fish
- 2 Voidseer Pumpkins
Check the fusion screen in-game before you commit your pets. It shows the result, so you know what you get. We like that the machine lets you pool pets with friends. If you lack one ingredient, a teammate can cover the gap. That makes the fusion much easier for casual players.

The train does not arrive the moment you get the ticket. Watch the countdown and be ready at the station. Missing the boarding window means a wait, and waiting wastes the best part of the event.
The Halloween event also runs for a limited time. The second part appears to run from October 24 to October 25, so we would not delay. Check the in-game timer if you can, and start now.
Finally, keep your rod equipped whenever you move around the event area. Several steps ask you to fish, and swapping tools costs seconds. Small savings add up when you chase a rare key.
