Free Fire OB29 Update (August 2021) Details: Release Date, New Characters, New Pet, New Mechanisms & Much More
The latest OB28 update of Free Fire was released on June 8, 2021. With this update, a lot of changes were introduced in the game, such as new character D-Bee, new pet Dr. Beanie, new weapon UZI, and much more. You can check out the complete changelog here.
Like the previous updates, the OB29 update will also bring many new changes and additions to the game. This article will share all the leaks available to us about the Free Fire’s (FF) new OB29 update.
Free Fire OB29 Update Release Date
The Free Fire’s Upcoming OB29 Update, aka August 2021 update, is expected to release on August 4, 2021. As of now, there is no announcement made by developers officially. But if you are our (Free Fire Booyah!) regular reader, you must know that there is no harm in relying on our expert prediction.
Free Fire OB29 Update New Features
1. New Character – Dimitri
Dimitri character is going to be the male character of the game and comes with an Active skill called ‘Healing Heartbeat.’ Here are the effects of Dimitri’s special ability:
Level 1: Creates a 5m-diameter healing zone. Inside, users and allies recover 3HP/s. When downed, user and allies can self-recover to get up. Lasts for 10s. CD 85s.
Level 2: Creates a 5m-diameter healing zone. Inside, users and allies recover 3HP/s. When downed, user and allies can self-recover to get up. Lasts for 11s. CD 80s.
Level 3: Creates a 5m-diameter healing zone. Inside, users and allies recover 3HP/s. When downed, user and allies can self-recover to get up. Lasts for 12s. CD 75s.
Level 4: Creates a 5m-diameter healing zone. Inside, users and allies recover 3HP/s. When downed, user and allies can self-recover to get up. Lasts for 13s. CD 70s.
Level 5: Creates a 5m-diameter healing zone. Inside, users and allies recover 3HP/s. When downed, user and allies can self-recover to get up. Lasts for 14s. CD 65s.
Level 6: Creates a 5m-diameter healing zone. Inside, users and allies recover 3HP/s. When downed, user and allies can self-recover to get up. Lasts for 15s. CD 60s.
2. New Character – Thiva
Another new male character ‘Thiva’ is expected to come to the game. But there are very few chances that it would come after the OB29 update only because every time we get to see one male and one female character after the update, two male characters are highly unlikely. But our job is to tell you all available leaks.
The Thiva character comes with a passive skill called ‘Vital Vibes.’ Here are the effects of the special ability:
Level 1: Rescue (help-up) speed increases by 5%. Upon a successful rescue, user recovers 15HP in 5s.
Level 2: Rescue (help-up) speed increases by 8%. Upon a successful rescue, user recovers 20HP in 5s.
Level 3: Rescue (help-up) speed increases by 11%. Upon a successful rescue, user recovers 25HP in 5s.
Level 4: Rescue (help-up) speed increases by 14%. Upon a successful rescue, user recovers 30HP in 5s.
Level 5: Rescue (help-up) speed increases by 17%. Upon a successful rescue, user recovers 35HP in 5s.
Level 6: Rescue (help-up) speed increases by 20%. Upon a successful rescue, user recovers 40HP in 5s.
3. New Character – Elite Moco
A new female character would be added to the game after the OB29 update. It is going to be the Awakened version of the already available Moco character. She would come with a passive skill called ‘Engima’s Eye.’ Here are the effects of her special ability:
Level 1: Marking on hit enemies last longer when enemies move, up to 2s.
Level 2: Marking on hit enemies last longer when enemies move, up to 2.5s.
Level 3: Marking on hit enemies last longer when enemies move, up to 3.5s.
Level 4: Marking on hit enemies last longer when enemies move, up to 4.5s.
Level 5: Marking on hit enemies last longer when enemies move, up to 5.5s.
Level 6: Marking on hit enemies last longer when enemies move, up to 6.5s.
4. New Pet – Sensei Tig
Like all the previous OB updates, with the OB29 update, a new pet will also be introduced in the game. It is going to be a Tiger pet named ‘Sensei Tig.’ It comes with a special ability called ‘Nimble Ninja.’ Here are the effects of its special skill:
Level 1: Reduces the duration of enemies’ man-marking skills by 30%.
Level 2: Reduces the duration of enemies’ man-marking skills by 40%.
Level 3: Reduces the duration of enemies’ man-marking skills by 60%.
The pet can be considered the opposite of Awakened Moco because it would reduce the effects of her special ability.
5. New Weapon: AC80
A new Assault rifle, AC80, is coming to the game after the OB29 update. It would be best suitable for mid and long-range combats. It comes with an in-built 4x scope. The Normal magazine’s capacity is 14 bullets which can be extended to 20 using a mag.
It comes with a special power that its two continuous shots on target will trigger additional damage. The first body shot causes the damage of 67 damage, and the second inflicts107 damage.
6. New Practice Area – Grenade Range
Similar to Gloo Walls, now you can practice Grenades also. It is a good place to pass the time and earn some skills.
7. New Mode – Lone Wolf
Lone Wolf would be a 1v1 mode with similar gameplay as Clash Squad. You are matched against random players. Here you get to see all the guns, 2 Gloo Walls, 1 Flashbang, and 1 Flash Freeze. It would be the best place to check your 1v1 skills.
8. New Attachments
I. Boost penetration abilities for SMGs.
It supports any SMG that uses Muzzle, such as MP5. By applying it, the damage on the vest and helmet of the opponent increases.
II. Shotgun Muzzle
The damage of the shotgun increases and bullets travel straight and hit the enemy instead of going around his body.
