Roblox Slime RNG Guide – Best Slimes, Upgrade Path, and Tips to Progress Fast

If you have just started playing Slime RNG on Roblox, it can feel overwhelming at first glance. There are slime rarities to understand, upgrades to prioritize, currencies to manage, and a rebirth system that completely changes how you play. I have put together this full beginner guide covering everything from the best slimes to use, the right upgrade path, and the smartest way to progress without wasting your time.

What Is Slime RNG?

Slime RNG is an incremental simulator on Roblox where you roll for slimes, build a combat team, earn coins, and prestige to become infinitely stronger. The core loop is simple, but mastering it requires strategic thinking. You roll for slimes, send them into battle against enemy slimes in various zones, collect coins from those fights, spend those coins on upgrades, and eventually rebirth to multiply your luck permanently. It sounds straightforward, but the decisions you make in the first hour of playing will determine how quickly you grow.

The Core Gameplay Loop Explained

Before jumping into tips, it helps to understand the basic cycle. The fundamental cycle in Slime RNG consists of rolling for slimes, deploying your team to automatically fight enemies in the current zone, earning coins and Goop from defeating enemies, spending currency on upgrades, and eventually being reborn with permanent multipliers to grow even stronger.

The key insight here is that your slimes fight automatically. Your job as a player is to make smart upgrade choices, manage your currency well, and roll as often as possible for better slimes. The faster you roll, the sooner you land a rare one.

Best Slimes in Slime RNG

Not all slimes are equal, and knowing which ones to prioritize makes a real difference. Here is how the slimes rank:

  • Void Slime (SSS Tier): Mythic tier with a game-changing unique skill. This is the ultimate goal with a 1-in-10,000,000 rarity. It represents the absolute pinnacle of power in the game.
  • Huge Spike (S Tier): The highest DPS slime in the game. Its piercing attacks ignore armor, making it exceptional for clearing tough enemy zones.
  • Huge Rocky (S Tier): Massive AoE damage with 5,000 damage output. Essential for late-game progression and one of the most reliable S-tier picks.
  • Huge Lucky (S Tier): Provides a 3x luck multiplier, making it invaluable for players who want to keep rolling for rarer variants.
  • Orca (A Tier): An excellent mid-game carry with 180 damage output. This is the slime you want to prioritize leveling during the middle phase of your run.
  • Lucky Slime (A Tier): Comes with a unique luck passive that is great for farming rare drops, making it a solid companion to your damage dealers.
  • Fin Slime (B Tier): The best early-game DPS option. This is the first slime you should look to level when starting.

From personal experience, the Orca is a turning point. Once you land one, your mid-game coin income increases noticeably, which accelerates everything else. Do not bench it too quickly just because you rolled something with a higher rarity number on paper.

Understanding Slime Variants

One thing that confuses a lot of new players is the variant system. When you roll a slime, there are three possible outcomes: a Standard Slime with normal stats, a Shiny Variant at a 1-in-500,000 chance with enhanced stats and a unique visual aura, a Huge Variant at a 1-in-1,000,000 chance with a massive damage multiplier and expanded AoE, and a Huge Shiny, which combines both. The Huge Shiny is the rarest and most powerful slime in the game.

We strongly recommend not getting too attached to any slime until you start landing A-tier or above. Early on, your roster will change frequently.

The Right Upgrade Path

This is where most new players go wrong. The temptation is to upgrade Luck immediately, hoping to roll something rare. In reality, the smarter path is to prioritize income and enemies first. As the in-game guide puts it, enemies are going to be very important because you get a lot of money from them, and that money compounds across everything else you want to do.

Here is the priority order we recommend sticking to:

  • Enemies first: More enemies mean more coins per minute. This is the single highest-impact upgrade early on.
  • Income second: Upgrading your coin income multiplies everything you earn from enemies.
  • Roll speed third: Upgrading Roll Speed using Dice currency means more rolls, which equals more chances at rare slimes. Get this before you start investing heavily in luck.
  • Luck last (for now): Once your income is stable and you can comfortably farm toward 10 million coins, then shift focus to luck upgrades.

Don’t invest heavily in Luck yet. Income is more important than Luck until you can farm 10 million coins. I know it feels counterintuitive in a game literally called Slime RNG, but patience here pays off massively.

The Currency System and Goop

Slime RNG operates on a dual-currency system. Coins are the foundation of your early game, earned by defeating enemies, and scale exponentially as you progress through zones. Goop is the prestige currency and the key to becoming truly powerful. Unlike coins, Goop is deflationary and rare. You only unlock the ability to earn Goop after investing 10 million coins.

Goop is used exclusively for rebirth. Do not try to rush it before your coin income is strong enough to recover quickly, because rebirthing resets your coin balance. The right time to rebirth is when your slime collection and upgrade base are strong enough that you can rebuild your coin stack in a reasonable amount of time.

Rebirthng: What to Expect

A lot of players are nervous about rebirthing because they fear losing progress. Here is what actually happens. You lose all your coins. Your zones lock again. But you keep every slime in your inventory, all your fruits and consumables, and all your upgrades, plus you receive a permanent luck multiplier boost. Players often see jumps from 65x to 98x multiplier in a single rebirth, which makes each subsequent run dramatically faster.

The moment you have enough Goop to rebirth, just do it. The luck boost you receive makes getting better slimes on your next run significantly easier, and you recover your coins faster than you expect.

Tips to Boost Your Luck for Free

There are a few tricks that many players overlook. First, joining the Stouts Studio Roblox Group gives you a permanent +1 Luck bonus that is free and mathematically doubles your rebirth effectiveness. Second, adding friends to your server grants a Friend Luck boost for every person you add, up to the current limit. Playing in a populated server and adding fellow players before you start rolling can give you a meaningful passive luck increase.

Third, use your promo codes before you start rolling. As of April 2026, verified active codes include craftAway for an Ultra Luck Boost, Roll Speed Boost, and four Apples, semils for an Ultra Luck Boost, Roll Speed Boost, and six Apples, and time2Grind for additional freebies. Apples and other fruits can be fed to your slimes to level them up and boost their damage, so do not ignore them.

Feed Your Slimes

One mechanic that gets overlooked by new players is the food system. Fruits like apples, carrots, and cherries drop from enemies once you unlock the right upgrades, and feeding them to your slimes increases their level and damage output. Always feed food to your strongest slime first, rather than spreading it across your whole roster.

Slime RNG rewards players who understand the systems underneath the rolling. Prioritize income over luck early, rebirth as soon as you are able, and always keep your best slime well-fed and leveled.
