The Lullaby rod is easily one of the most talked-about additions from the Fisch Music Venue Takeover update, and for good reason. It is a beautifully designed fishing rod that looks like an ethereal guitar, and unlike most rods in the game, it is locked behind a sprawling multi-part questline tied to a mysterious NPC named Simon, hidden in one of Fisch’s most obscure sub-locations. If you are grinding toward this rod, I want to be upfront with you: this is not a quick unlock. We are talking about multiple hours of fishing, material farming, and world exploration spread across seven distinct quest stages. This guide walks through every step so you do not waste time figuring things out blind.
What Is the Lullaby Rod?

The Lullaby is a Fishing Rod obtained from a set of quests in Hawaii, with the tagline “A fool found a companion in Hawaii.” It was added to the game as part of Version 1.82. According to the Official Fisch Wiki, the rod features notable passive abilities tied to a “Resistant” status effect. The rod grants the Resistant Status Effect, which provides a plus 20% Resilience and 0.05 Control, alongside solid mutation rates, including a 24% chance for Prismatic, an 18% chance for Rainbow, and a 12% chance for Mythical. In terms of raw stats, the rod carries 90% lure speed, 225% luck, 0.25 control, and 25% resilience, which puts it firmly in the high-value category for endgame players. It also has multiple unlockable modes, which we will touch on at the end.
Prerequisite: Reach Level 500
Before anything else, you need to meet the entry requirements. The Hawaii Sub-location, where Simon is found, requires the player to be Level 500 to initiate the questline. Do not skip this step. If you arrive in Hawaii and Simon will not talk to you, your level is simply not high enough yet.
How to Reach Hawaii
Hawaii is not labeled on the map. You access it through the Abyssal Zenith. Spawn your submarine, dive all the way down to the angler maze area near the Abyssal Zenith, and follow the fish into the hidden passage. You will know you have arrived when the environment shifts and Simon becomes visible. I recommend placing a teleportation device here immediately after your first visit so you can fast-travel back for each subsequent quest stage without repeating the dive every time.
Part 1: The Forgotten Celestial Koi

Simon’s first quest sends you after a Forgotten Celestial Koi. You need to catch a Forgotten Mythical, then go to the island near the Trumpetfish abundance behind Sunstone and use a Starfall Totem, then click with the Koi equipped, after which text will appear, and you may receive a title. The Forgotten Celestial Koi requires the Lasser’s Ruin rod and some patience. Stack a luck potion and an all-season potion before casting. Expect this to take multiple attempts. Once done, return to Simon.
Part 2: Ghosts in Boreal Pines

The second major step requires you to catch a Serene Ancient Depth Serpent, a Translucent Exotic, and obtain a Lunar Moonstone. Then head to Boreal Pines and make sure it is night and foggy. Ghost 1 is located at coordinates 21146, 255, 3757. Hold out the Translucent Baby Bloop to make it appear and talk to it to turn in. Ghost 2 is at coordinates 21190, 218, 4379. Hold out the Serene Ancient Depth Serpent to trigger it.
One thing worth noting: do not appraise the fish required for these ghost interactions. Catch them fresh and bring them directly to the ghost locations.
Part 3: Flying Fish Above the Clouds
After talking to Simon again, you need to perfect catch 7 shiny or sparkling blessed flying fish, or Harmonic Doves, above the clouds. The Seraphic Rod with long and glittering enchantments is recommended for this step. The catches must be blessed, not just shiny or sparkling. A glitch potion does not appear to work reliably here, so rely on your rod setup and patience instead.
Part 4: The Lost Twilight Glowfish Grind
This is the part that will test your patience the most. In the Hades Underworld labyrinth, find the ghost near a wall, talk to him for a new quest, and then perfect catch 12 Lost Twilight Glowfish using the Lost Rod at the Sunken Depths. After a perfect catch, there is a 36% chance for the next catch to carry the Lost mutation, meaning you essentially need to perfect catch every single fish in this area to maintain your odds.
Part 5: Dr. Crookspine’s Time Machine
Simon then sends you to Dr. Crookspine at the oil rig, where you need to collect 50 Stunnel Totals, 15 Purified Broken Gears from the Zeus Atlantis layer using the Insight enchantment, 35 Iron Chunks from the Mineshaft, 10 Gold Pieces, 1 Frozen Glacial Fragment from Snowburrow, 1 Celestial Radiant Crystal obtained in the Mineshaft while holding the Celestial buff from catching 15 fish with the Celestial Rod, and 1 Lunar Rocket Fuel caught at Mushgrove. After handing everything over, Crookspine gives you the Time Machine. Bring it back to Simon to finish Part 5.
Part 6: The Tidal Colossal Ethereal Dragon and the Lillad Ghost

Simon next requires you to catch a Tidal Colossal Ethereal Dragon using the Rod of the Forgotten Fang. After that, head to the Lillad Ghost in the reinforced rod cave near the Desolate Deep, which spawns when it is foggy at night. Talk to her, catch a Lucid Mythic Fish, return to her, and pay 12 million credits. The Tidal mutation on the Colossal Ethereal Dragon requires the Rod of the Forgotten Fang, which gives all caught fish a 25% chance for the Tidal mutation. Reset the server to try to get the dragon to spawn quickly and then lock in on the reeling minigame.
Part 7: The Final Stretch
The final stage involves three catches: a Rainbow Cluster or Mythical Ancient Kraken using the Poseidon Wrath Totem, a Harmonized Blue Whale or Orca that requires a perfect catch, and an Albino Narwhal. After all catches are completed, return to Simon and pay 50 million credits to receive the Lullaby rod.
Unlocking the Lullaby Fully
The rod arrives restricted. To unrestrict it, you must perfect catch 12 hunt fish with the Lullaby rod without missing a metronome beat, and maintain the Resistant Composition buff for 300 seconds. The rod also features multiple modes visible in the customization menu. The Lullaby was added as part of Fisch Version 1.82, the Music Venue Takeover update released on May 2, 2026, alongside seven other new fishing rods and a range of new mutations.
I would call the Lullaby one of the most rewarding questline rods in Fisch right now. The grind is real, but the result is a high-luck, multi-mode rod with strong passive utility that holds up well into endgame fishing. If you are already at level 500 and have strong gear, start the Simon questline as early as possible because every step builds on the last.
