Wizard Alchemy on Roblox just dropped one of its biggest updates yet, and we are here to walk you through everything you need to know. The new exploration area, called the Sea of Oblivion, brings a second island packed with fresh content. We are talking new quests, new materials, new boss locations, chest spots, and a flying broom system that changes how we move around the map entirely. Whether you just started playing or you have been grinding since day one, this guide has everything you need to get ahead.
What Is the Sea of Oblivion Update

The Sea of Oblivion is the second major island added to Wizard Alchemy. It is not just a bigger version of the first island. It introduces new progression mechanics, new enemy types, and a whole new tier of materials to farm. The level cap has also been raised to Level 80 as part of this update, and a new Ascension Stage has been added for players who want to push further. Hidden potion recipes are now scattered across the world, too, so exploration actually matters now more than ever. We also get the Broom Flying System with this update, which lets us ride magical brooms and fly freely through the map. The Weapon Enchantment System is another big addition, letting us boost our wand with powerful attribute bonuses.
How to Reach the Second Island
Before we can get to the Sea of Oblivion, we need 3,000 gold first. Once we have that sorted, we head to spawn and look for a small portal on one side of the area. Right next to that portal, there is a broom vendor. We buy the broom there, and that is our ticket to fly across to the second island. The flight is not the fastest, but it gets us there. It is worth doing this early because the second island opens up the best progression opportunities in the game right now.

One important tip before we even set foot on the new island: redeem all active codes first. We go to the top right corner of the screen, open settings, and enter the codes there. Free rerolls and materials from codes can give us a serious head start before we start grinding the new content.
New Materials and Quests on the Second Island
Once we arrive at the Sea of Oblivion, the spawn area looks similar to the first island at first glance. The shop sells mostly the same items, but there is one new addition: the Lava Broom, available for 50,000 gold. It comes with 30 attack, 30% attack boost, 30% crit rate, and 30 cooldown reduction. It is expensive, but the stats make it the best broom in the game right now. Also at spawn, we can find a new material called Lava Rock and another one called Fern. Both are important for crafting on this island.

There are five new quests available here. We pick them up based on our current level. One quest asks us to collect 10 Ferns, which are found around the island. Another quest requires us to kill a Mutant Iron Axe Orc, which we cover in the boss section below. The NPC locations for the Sword Orc and Bow Orc are also on this island, and they are worth checking in with for additional tasks.
A real insight worth knowing here is that the regular mobs on this island, like the Axe Orc and the Orc Priest, only drop rare materials. They do not drop epic materials at all. So if we are grinding regular enemies hoping for high-tier crafting ingredients, we are wasting our time. The only reliable way to get epic and legendary materials on this island is through the boss and the two mutated mob encounters. Keep that in mind before committing hours to the wrong grind.
Boss Location and Strategy
The main boss on the Sea of Oblivion is located in the lava area of the map. We follow the path past the NPC quest givers and into the volcanic zone to find it. The boss has two main attacks: a rock-throwing attack and a melee strike. The rock throw is the one we must parry, because it deals massive damage if it connects. The melee hit range can actually be avoided by positioning ourselves at a specific distance from the boss.

For stats, running around 12 HP with strong attack bonuses works well enough to survive the fight. If our party timing is not great yet, putting more points into HP is the smarter move. The boss is honestly more manageable than the first island boss once we learn the patterns, but we do need good potions to make the runs efficient.
Mutated Mob Locations
There are two mutated mobs on this island, and these are the key targets for material farming outside of the boss.
- The first mutated mob is located on the left side of the island from spawn, in a smaller section of the area near the lava zone.

- The second mutated mob, the Axe variant, is also in a nearby spot and can technically be farmed from a distance by standing on higher ground.
Both of these enemies have significantly more HP than regular mobs, but they are the only non-boss sources of better materials. We recommend focusing boss runs first and using mutated mobs as a secondary option when the boss cooldown is active.
All Chest Locations on the New Island
Chests on this island can drop legendary materials, which makes them one of the best activities we can do between boss runs. Chests also respawn on a timer, so running the route regularly is worth building into our routine.
Here is a quick breakdown of where we find them:
- At spawn itself, going up to the higher platform reveals the first chest right away.

- Near the first lava area, there is a chest tucked close to the volcanic terrain.
- On top of a small waterfall, there is a chest waiting for us if we climb up.

- Below that same waterfall, two chests are sitting close together.
- Around the volcano area, we can find up to four chests spread across the location. This is actually the spot where many of us are picking up our first legendary material drops.
- In the enchanted zone, there is another chest hidden in the area.
- Near the bridge on the island, going behind a palm tree reveals one more chest.
The enchantment zone chest is easy to miss because most of us rush past that area. However, one thing to keep in mind about the enchantment system itself: we should not use it on weak weapons. The enchantment stones are a limited resource, and they are only worth spending on the best weapon available on this map. Using them on anything weaker is simply a waste of the materials we spent a long time grinding.
Potion Crafting and What to Expect
Crafting potions with the new materials is exciting in theory, but there is a frustrating reality we all need to be aware of. Even if we use legendary materials in a recipe, the game can still give us a rare potion as the result. This is a known issue in the community right now, and it makes the crafting system feel unrewarding at times. We are not alone in finding this annoying.
The new Fire Potion is one of the interesting results we can get from crafting with the lava materials. It looks cool and has a unique effect, but its power output does not always justify the materials we put in. Until the crafting system gets a fix that guarantees better outputs for high-tier inputs, our best approach is to treat crafting as supplemental and focus on boss farming as our main source of progression.
Wizard Alchemy is growing fast, and the Sea of Oblivion update gives us the most content the game has seen since launch. We now have a full second island to explore, a flying system that makes traversal fun, a weapon enchantment system for endgame builds, and a new progression ceiling at Level 80. The grind is real, but with the right approach to chest farming, boss runs, and mutated mob targeting, we can push through it efficiently.
