Engine Snail Steal an Egg – How to Get It and What It Earns

The Engine Snail is the final reward in the Steal an Egg Nitro Race event. It is an Eternal pet, and it takes real grinding to earn. We are here to help you learn how to unlock it and whether it deserves a spot in your base.

What Is the Engine Snail in Steal an Egg?

The Engine Snail is an Eternal rarity racer pet added in Update 8. It has a purple and green body with twin engine pipes on top. At first glance, it definitely looks like the snail from the movie Turbo.

It sits at the end of the Nitro Race Win Pass. That makes it the hardest racer to unlock. It is also the only reward in the lineup that carries the top rarity.

How to Get the Engine Snail

A race starts every 30 minutes, and the portal can spawn in a different biome each time. Check the announcement tab, enter the portal, and finish the three-lap race. Only first place counts toward the Win Pass. Each win gives you 1 Win and 2,500 Trophies.

You need 30 wins to claim the Engine Snail Egg and the Engine Snail Racer. The egg guarantees the pet, so luck plays no part. Here is the full reward track:

  • 1 win: Seahorse Egg and Seahorse Racer
  • 5 wins: Lizard Egg and Lizard Racer
  • 15 wins: Bird Egg and Bird Racer
  • 21 wins: Cheetah Egg and Cheetah Racer
  • 30 wins: Engine Snail Egg and Engine Snail Racer

The Win Pass does not stop at 30. There are extra milestones at 35 and 40 wins. There is also a bonus of 1,250 Trophies for every fifth win. So your wins keep paying off after the snail.

Can Anyone Win These Races?

Yes. There is no speed requirement, so a new account can race beside a late-game player. You wait around 40 to 50 seconds for the lobby to fill. Many opponents behave like bots, and a lot of real players join on mobile.

Race Tips That Help You Hit 30 Wins

Wins matter more than clean times. Do not chase a record when a safe win gets you closer to the egg.

Here are the habits that will help you in the race:

  • Grab every boost on the track.
  • Save a Scramble Shield for when you lead.
  • Drop an Exploder on a boost pad to punish chasers.
  • Steer sideways to dodge a Driller from behind.

We also like cutting corners where the track allows it. Bumps and lag can slow you down, so stay patient. Leaders get targeted by every attack, which is why the shield matters so much.

How Much Does the Engine Snail Earn?

The base income has not been officially reported yet. A hatched snail with Nitro, Enchanted, and Scramble mutations can earn around 80 billion + per second. It would beat a Divine Unicorn with a single mutation.

You have a choice to make. You can keep the snail unmutated and turn it into a mount with a Star. Mutations raise income but can hide the original design. We think income players should mutate it. Collectors should leave it clean.

Is the Nitro Mutation Worth Buying?

The event shop sells the Nitro Mutation for 475 Trophies, with a 10% chance to apply. Trophies pile up fast, so you will likely afford plenty.

Pair Nitro with the Enchanted mutation, which has a 100% success chance. Spend Nitro on pets that already earn well. Weak pets gain little from the extra work.

Final Verdict

The Engine Snail is worth chasing if you race often. The event runs all day, and each win moves you forward. Expect a decent income pet, a striking design, and a long grind. Start with the Seahorse, collect the middle rewards, and let the wins stack up. We would not expect a speed boost. Race for the egg, then decide how to mutate it.
