We ran the whole route ourselves, and it is easier than the Skelicorn hunt. It still needs planning, Crypt Keys, and plenty of Candy Corn. This guide shows you every step, so you waste nothing.
What Is the Stray Cat Dragon in Adopt Me?
The Stray Cat Dragon is a Legendary pet that costs 120,000 Candy Corn. You cannot buy it straight away, though. First, you must feed the Stray Cat a special item called Polymorphing Cat Food. The cat then transforms, and the dragon appears in the shop.
The Stray Cat appeared on October 3 as part of the Halloween event. You can find it near the Carnival, close to the Jester Dragon. The event ends on October 31, so time matters here.
What You Need Before You Start
Preparation saves you a lot of stress. Check this list before you head to the Crypt:
- At least 15 Crypt Keys
- 120,000 Candy Corn for the final purchase
- One edible food item for the daily Stray Cat reward

The cat food sits on the fourth floor of the Crypt. You cannot skip the floors above it, so every level costs you keys.
The first three levels only hold Candy Corn graves. Do not waste keys on those. Spend them only on the stairs or ladder that lead down. This feels painful because the graves look tempting, but the goal is the food.
Level four is where things get tricky. Special cat food hides among the Candy Corn graves. We opened several graves in a row and found only Candy Corn. Keep going. One piece of cat food was enough.
After you grab the food, find the Mummy Spider on the last level and take it. This resets the entire Crypt. You can run it again whenever you need more Candy Corn. Then head back to town and open your inventory. The food appears in the Halloween section.

Go back to the Carnival and equip the cat food. Take a moment to look at it up close. It looks like a pretty cool glowing bubble. Walk up to the Stray Cat and tap the feed button.
A message tells you the cat devoured the food. The Stray Cat Dragon then appears in the shop. Buy it for 120,000 Candy Corn, and it lands in your inventory.
Here is the best part. You only unlock this once. After that, you never need to enter the Crypt for this pet again. You just need the Candy Corn. Many players miss this and farm the Crypt twice.
How to Farm Candy Corn and Crypt Keys Fast
The 120,000 Candy Corn price feels huge, but several activities add up quickly. We suggest mixing them each day. Here are the main sources:
- Ghost Gallery: up to 5,000 Candy Corn, plus a Crypt Key if you beat the boss
- Hauntlet 2: up to 21,000 Candy Corn, 500 Bucks, and two Crypt Keys
- Pet needs: 200 Candy Corn for every need you complete
- Crypt graves: 1,000 to 3,000 Candy Corn each
- Stray Cat: 50 Candy Corn once per in-game day
Our advice is simple. Do the pet needs between minigame rounds, since they cost you almost no extra time. Play Ghost Gallery for both Candy Corn and keys. Then save your Hauntlet 2 runs for the big payouts. Also feed the Stray Cat daily. The reward looks small, but it adds up over the weeks.

Neon and Mega Neon Stray Cat Dragon Costs
Yes, you can make a Neon Stray Cat Dragon. You need four copies of the pet, which costs 480,000 Candy Corn. A Mega Neon needs four Neons, which costs 1,920,000 Candy Corn.
We think the Mega Neon is a stretch for most players before October 31. A Neon is realistic if you farm hard every day. If you only want one pet, buy one and enjoy it. Do not chase the Mega unless you have lots of free time.
What We Spotted in Count Slothula’s Manor
While we looked for the Stray Cat, we found a new area inside the Manor. It is Count Slothula’s home, and it is nicely decorated. You can buy Count Slothula for 99 Robux. He is an Ultra Rare pet.
You can also buy Slothula Fangs for 5,000 Candy Corn each. They turn your pets into vampires. The Halloween sticker pack costs 750 Candy Corn. Scare Bear also returned as a minigame, and you enter it from the Manor.
