Dress to Impress Halloween Quest Guide – All Chapters, Puzzles, and Rewards

The Halloween quest in Dress to Impress has arrived, and it feels very different from last year. The story steps away from Lana’s usual spotlight and leans into dark Greek myth. We cross a river of souls, escape a cursed village, and survive a haunted mansion. This guide walks us through every chapter, puzzle, and reward.

How to Start the Dress to Impress Halloween Quest

The new story is called Tales of the Dark King. It does not open on launch day. It arrives about a week after the Halloween update goes live. Once it unlocks, join any lobby and teleport to the quest area.

The salon looks wrecked and tinted green. Lana crouches in a corner, scared and confused. Talk to her first. Then follow the trail down to the River of Souls, where a mysterious guardian waits. Pick any gate, choose Chapter 1, and set your party. We suggest bringing a friend. The boat section has two jobs at once, so one player can fuel the lantern while the other fights phantoms.

Chapter 1: Crossing the River of Souls

A creepy cutscene kicks things off. Two girls flee in a carriage, and it crashes. A hooded figure then turns them into dolls. He is searching for someone, and we learn his name later.

Next, we board the boat with the ferryman. The goal is simple. Pick up fuel and feed the lantern so it never runs dry. Phantoms swarm the boat meanwhile. Whack them off right away, because ignoring them gets you killed.

At the halfway point, we leave the boat and hunt for orbs. They spawn in random spots, so follow the paths to each one. Collect ten to continue. Then we cross again. This time the lantern drains faster, so work quickly. A reading of zero percent seems to slow the trip rather than end it, but we still recommend keeping it topped up.

After the final crossing, we reach the soul field. A glowing wisp leads us deep into the forest. It takes us to the two girls’ souls, who talk about threads and destiny. The mysterious man is Agamemnon. Then the game teleports us into a memory.

Chapter 2: Escaping the Village

We land on a dock, and the screen tells us we are inside a memory. Atropos greets us first. Our objective is to leave the village, but the gate needs a key. We can knock on many doors. One holds a note addressed to Demetra, which describes a curse and missing families. It is only lore.

The real key sits on a barrel in a room to the right of the main path. Grab it, open the gate, and follow the road to a grand Greek mansion. The doors open for us, and a timer warns us to escape before 7:00 a.m.

Solving the Mansion Puzzles

The mansion hides a chain of puzzles. Every run randomizes the answers, so copy the method and not our numbers. Keep paper nearby, because you will juggle several clues at once.

  • Find clues around the rooms, then set the pillars to match them
  • Take the medallion and place it on the outside statue
  • Copy the bedroom pattern, then step on the matching floor tiles
  • Collect three Roman numerals and enter them into the dial puzzle
  • Return the artifact to the grand hall and claim the third medallion

The pillar puzzle uses a vial, lion head, fruit, cage, vase, and statue. A note asks us to fix the pieces. In our run, the cage was four, the lion head five, the fruit six, and the vase one. Yours will differ.

The cellar key and its numeral give us a head start on the dial. Two more numerals hide near a counter and in the grand hall. Once Agamemnon appears, read Clytemnestra’s journal nearby. It adds lore and hands us the final medallion. Place it, and stairs open to the dungeon.

Dungeon Escape and the Moirae Ritual

Head down, then right, until you find a key in a wooden coffin. Run back and unlock the gate. A monster chases you the moment it opens, so move fast. Next, squeeze through the crawl space and grab the rope. Tie it to the pillar, climb up, and release the chain. A shiny key drops. Take the left stairs and unlock the last gate.

A cutscene follows, then a new task. We must collect the Moirae sisters. A note lists the ritual order, and we follow it exactly.

  • Dolls first, then a potion at the potion table
  • A spell made by matching the shown shapes
  • Powder from a spider lily, spider, tooth, and eyeballs
  • A second potion with different bases
  • Scissors and thread from upstairs, one on each side

Place each item on its brazier, then work the cauldron. Something awful appears, so run and do not look back.

Final Boss Fight

Hold the bow to aim, then shoot. The boss telegraphs her attacks, so watch the cues. Avoid the green zones on the floor. Three hits end the run, and we restart. Near the end, she powers up and attacks faster. Stay patient, land the final arrow, and head back to the ship.

Rewards and Quick Tips

A cutscene returns us to the salon, and the rewards unlock.

  • Clytemnestra outfit with a cape toggle
  • Styx set with cloak, staff, and hood toggles for mask or feathers
  • Agamemnon toggle for the Lana doll

The cape toggle looks a little buggy right now, so expect a fix soon. Save a few outfits before you start. Play with a friend for the boat and boss sections. Take notes in the mansion, because one missed number slows everything down.
