The Bizzy Bees Part 4 update for Grow a Garden on Roblox dropped on May 30, 2026, and it brought one of the most exciting combat additions we have seen in the game so far. Alongside the new Wasp Dungeon, the update introduced Bee Shards, a brand-new enchantment system that lets us directly upgrade our bees with serious stat boosts. If you want to push deep into the dungeon and reach wave 100, understanding Bee Shards is not optional. It is essential.
We are going to break everything down for you right here, from what Bee Shards actually do, to how to use them, to which enchantments work best for which bees.
What Are Bee Shards in Grow a Garden
Bee Shards are upgrade items that you apply directly to your bees to improve their combat and utility stats. These shards work like enchantments, meaning each one slots onto a specific bee and changes what that bee can do in battle. They boost things like damage, health, pollination quality, pollination rate, and speed, depending on which shard you choose.

To use a Bee Shard, you simply equip it in your hand and click on the bee you want to upgrade. That is all there is to it. The effect applies immediately, and your bee becomes noticeably stronger right away. What makes this system so powerful is that the stat multipliers are huge. We are not talking about small percentage gains here. We are talking about changes that can completely transform how a bee performs inside the Wasp Dungeon.
All Bee Shard Types and Their Stats
There are five Bee Shard types currently in the game, and each one serves a different role. Here is what each one does:
- Spear Shard: Gives a bee 120% bonus damage and 75% speed. Good for fast attackers you want to push harder.
- Sword Shard: Gives a bee 200% damage and 30% crit chance. This is the best choice for raw combat bees.
- Shield Shard: Gives a bee 250% max health and 100% regen. Perfect for tanky bees you want to keep alive.
- Crown Shard: Gives a bee 150% speed, 150% pollination quality, and 150% pollination rate. Best for bees focused on garden utility rather than combat.
- Bee Shard (the special one): Gives a bee 150% to ALL stats plus 20% crit chance. This is the most powerful enchantment in the entire system.
The last one on that list, simply called the Bee Shard, is the clear standout. It does not specialize in one area. It makes every single stat on your bee better at once. Think of it like equipping a legendary item in an RPG. You want as many of these as possible, especially on your hardest-hitting bees.
How to Get Bee Shards
Bee Shards drop as rewards inside the Wasp Dungeon. Every five waves inside the dungeon, a checkpoint chest spawns that gives us guaranteed rewards and a roll from a random loot pool. The further we go, the better our chances of getting high-tier shards. The Bee Shard, being the most powerful of the bunch, is naturally rarer than the others. We have seen players pull it from dungeon runs as early as wave 40 to 60, but the drop chance increases as we push further.
This is why completing more waves matters so much. Not just for bragging rights, but because every wave we survive increases the drop probability for the rarest items in the pool.
Best Bee and Shard Combinations for the Wasp Dungeon
Now here is where things get really interesting. Choosing the right shard for the right bee makes a massive difference in how far we get inside the dungeon. Let us talk about the best combinations.
The Illusion Bee is the strongest bee in the game right now. It deals 25 base damage, and on top of that, it summons additional bees randomly during battle.

If we apply a Sword Shard to an Illusion Bee, its damage jumps to 75 per hit every 0.5 seconds. That is extraordinarily fast and powerful. A full hive of Illusion Bees with Bee Shards applied is theoretically capable of clearing wave 100 solo, though that setup is expensive to build.
The Chaos Bee is another top pick. It deals 6 base damage and has a passive that grants random stat bonuses.

A Sword Shard brings it to 18 damage, and with its passive kicking in, it becomes one of the most reliable damage dealers we can use. We recommend running at least ten Chaos Bees in your hive if you do not yet have Illusion Bees.
The Genesis Bee hits 8 damage base and reaches 20 with a Sword Shard applied. The Overlord Bee is even stronger at 10 base damage, reaching 30 with a Sword Shard. What makes the Overlord uniquely valuable is its passive ability. It gives plus two stats to all bees in your hive that are Mythical rarity or below. So five Overlord Bees actively buff every Rumble Bee or similar bee you have alongside them.
For defense, the Necromancer Bee is the sleeper pick. It only has 20 health and 2 base damage, which sounds weak. But it summons two skeleton bees when it fights.

Apply a Shield Shard to the Necromancer, and both the Necromancer and its skeletons inherit the health and regen boost. Four to five Necromancer Bees with Shield Shards act as a proper tank frontline that absorbs damage and keeps the rest of your hive alive longer.
Recommended Hive Setups for Wave 100
We want to give you three solid team compositions to work toward depending on your resources.
The first setup is the most powerful: fill your hive entirely with Illusion Bees and apply the special Bee Shard to every one of them. This setup can technically solo wave 100, but it is the most expensive to build and requires patience to achieve.
The second setup is more beginner-friendly. Run 15 Chaos Bees with Sword Shards and six Necromancer Bees with Shield Shards. The Necromancers form your tank layer, and the Chaos Bees deal all your damage. This is a very solid balanced build.
The third setup focuses on synergy. Run six Overlord Bees with Sword Shards and 15 Rumble Bees with Sword Shards. The Overlords passively buff all your Rumble Bees with extra stats, making the whole hive punch harder than it would otherwise. This combo scales extremely well.
Tips for Surviving Deep in the Wasp Dungeon
One thing we want to stress is that you should not try to run the dungeon alone unless your hive is maxed. The dungeon opens every hour, stays active for 10 minutes after being ignited, and requires you to be in your Bee Slot to enter. Coordinate with at least four other players on your server, and make sure everyone has maxed combat upgrades and their best bees equipped before you start.

The Wasp King shows up as a boss on waves 10, 50, 90, and 100. On those waves, focus all your energy on surviving the boss rather than the surrounding wasps. Keep moving, let your bees do their work, and use your shovel to deal extra damage when needed. If we get defeated, we have to wait 30 minutes before re-entering. That waiting time alone is reason enough to prepare properly before going in.
Bee Shards are the single biggest upgrade we can make to our combat setup right now. Whether we are farming for the special Bee Shard or just getting started with Spear or Sword shards, every enchantment makes a real difference. Get into the dungeon, grind those checkpoint chests, and upgrade your hive as fast as you can.
